Warmth & Homely plus attention to detail is what my friend most appreciates
Sophistication and style once again appreciated by my friend this outstanding environment
Is somewhere I would recommend for all my friends
The respect and affection showing by all the staff to the residents was evident in the fact in all conditions where first class
Even the external environment is beautiful with stunning trees in the garden gives a wonderful in depth visual outlook

Which my friend finds most comforting and relaxing watching nature at work

Safe care home with lovely staff, could do with updating the building/decor. The Manager is lovely and so are the carers. Our Mum has Alzheimer's and non verbal now so she can't tell us about her stay sadly. Overall though it's safe, clean and caring. Just wish the owners would update the building.

The resident I visit has been a very close friend for over 50 yrs. She no longer recognises me. I visit about every 3-4 weeks and only in the mornings so I can't answer all the questions below but when I visit she always seems comfortable and the staff are always around and are very friendly. She always seems happy when they come and speak to her.

Reply from Teresa DaSilva, Manager at The Chase

My Mum has now been a resident at Chase for almost a year. Her room is light, bright and airy, nice and clean and comfortable. My mum has dementia and some particular care needs, and the staff do a really good job of supporting her. She is always clean and tidy, nicely dressed in her own clothes and even when i've arrived to visit unexpectedly, she usually has on some make up and her hair styled or put up, and her nails varnished. My mum has always been a classy, well presented lady and it means so much that the staff take the time to help her with these details. The home seems well staffed, all of the care staff I have met are really wonderful, and very kind. They seem happy, very capable and always patient with the residents (and the visitors!). The manager is an energetic and outgoing leader, and sets the tone for the home. My mum seems to enjoy the food and has even put on some much-needed weight since arriving at the home. She is settled here, and I am very grateful for all they do.

I found The Chase Rest Home to be very friendly and well-organised. The staff are always on hand, and in the time (1 year) my wife has been here the staff have not changed so it must be a good environment to work. Meal times are very regulated and I have seen food offered and it is good. There is a mix of residents and they seem to integrate well. Car parking is excellent and local facilities are only a stone's throw away. Residents can go out as long as they are accompanied by a carer/relative. The rooms are all that is required, and are warm and comfortable.

I found the care given to my colleague was excellent in every respect - the staff and management understood and dealt very proactively with his needs until his demise - he said to me on many occasions that he was glad he was in such a friendly and caring home and he never had anything to complain about - thank you very much from a friend of the resident.

The most welcoming, caring home I have been to. All the staff are lovely and brilliant with the residents. It is a warm and friendly environment. The home provides brilliant activities for the residents, last week there was the most fantastic singer when I arrived. They celebrate everyone's birthdays with parties and it is genuinely like a family. Me and my daughter love sitting in the lounge with everyone, the staff and other residents fully engage her and we always feel very welcome. Highly recommend!
