My Mum has been here since 23rd May 2025 and has settled in well. All the staff are amazing, can't do enough for Mum or me and my family when we visit.
The food is so good and the great thing is for £2 I can stay for a 2 course meal. .
The home is always clean and fresh and I can't rate them highly
enough, I love visiting Mum and the staff are so friendly and welcoming .

I came in to see my husband this afternoon and I have to say a massive thankyou to you all. He didn't know me to start with which I always find sad. He was ok after a few minutes. I always feel so cared for when I come to see him. You and your staff are brilliant. Just as you were with my sister . I
always feel that with you all I have one big family which is very important. I miss him so much but I know that he is getting the best attention from you all. For that I cannot thank you enough. In my eyes you are all STARS. I don't like to stop you all when you are busy but I hope you will take this as a massive THANKYOU SO MUCH

My mother decided to go into a home in her late nineties. The Limes was recommended by a close friend whose mother had been a resident. Following a respite care stay, she decided to move in. The home is all about the residents, and the staff are kind and friendly. My mother enjoyed all the activities
when she can. As she is now in her 100th year, she needs more help, and the staff are very important to my mother now, and we cannot fault them.

All the staff at The Limes are absolutely amazing, they’re always smiling and they all do their very best to care for our loved ones. They got Mum interacting with all the staff and the other residents and within a couple of days, her smile was back. They do daily activities and are completely inclusive.
They communicate with families with a weekly newsletter and share pictures and videos of the fun they have, they’re safeguarding is second to none, all doors are locked with codes that only staff know, they welcome daily phone calls and give us regular updates. They know the meaning of the word care.

The new regional manager and manager were exceptional whilst my dad was staying. He came in for respite and didn't even know he was in a care home, he felt so relaxed he didn't want to come home.
I would highly recommend. I found the property so clean and the food was enjoyed.
Great team, super experience.

My dad enjoyed his respite stay at The Limes. He enjoyed the food and said the room was fantastic with a view over a courtyard that he had access to.
The room was kept clean and his laundry was done as well. Overall very happy.

I would give a good impression when describing 'The Limes' to anyone but I never make recommendations about anything.
When I last reviewed the home, I put good in each option as I think each option varies between good and excellent depending on circumstances. The same with the staff, some really are
excellent.
My mum settled in well at 'The Limes' and was well cared for as they have the facilities to help the residents more easily.
Because of dementia, activities have to be kept simple and the staff work hard to help residents participate if they wish to and to organise seating and wheelchairs for watching entertainment and also sometimes being part of the entertainment. Charlie, the dog who visited was so very popular with my Mum, me and most of the other residents and staff and it is lovely to see how animated some residents become when seeing dogs, babies and children.
Thank you for the care you took of my mum to the end. I am so grateful.

There is always a warm welcome from all the staff. We have a dog "Charlie" who is allowed into the home. When Charlie meets with the people of The Limes she just brings happiness. Everyone loves Charlie our black lab. Mentioning Charlie is important because she brings so much happiness not only to my
wife but others in the home.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.576)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.576) out of 10 for The Limes is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.766 for The Limes is calculated as follows: ( (37 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (1 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 47 Ratings = 4.766
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.81 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for The Limes is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 registered maximum number of service users is 9.2. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.2 = 0.435
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

“I have been working within the care sector since 2012. I initially started within a residential dementia home, whilst studying access to science & nursing at college. After college, I decided to continue in care. I started working as a care assistant & worked up to a bank senior within a residential home. I then started a full-time senior position within another home & worked between both.

In my spare time, I volunteered with St John Ambulance as an Advanced First Aider. Covering events across Norfolk with other volunteers. Due to work commitments, I no longer had time to volunteer.

Following this, I worked providing non-emergency patient transport within Norfolk. Transporting patients to/from appointments & supporting discharge from the hospital. I have also worked with horses as a freelance instructor. I started at The Limes in 2018 as a Senior Care Assistant & moved into my current Deputy Manager role in 2019. I am passionate about providing person-centred care & enhancing the lives of those within our care.”
