The path into residential care was completely new to us and it's really not an easy one. The mountains of forms for financial assessment and numerous others is an absolute mine field to the novice, but I can't fault the funding manager and other managers for all of their help and support, and wouldn't be where we are without them.
Dad has alzheimers, the level of which varies from hour to hour and day to day, so it is very reassuring to often find one of the staff members sat talking to dad, or looking at old photos when we visit.
Thank you and keep up the good work.
They are both hard of hearing and have suggested a microphone/speaker at meetings would really be a benefit to many residents.
They struggle to manage doctors appointments and although very not mobile and deaf they are expected to book appointments and make their way to the surgery. If I am around its not a problem but if i'm away it becomes really difficult and worrying for them. I suspect thats due to doctor availability.
I cannot fault the care and consideration of her specific needs that the incredible staff give to my mother. She is treated with the utmost respect and dignity. She needs constant care now and I have never felt she is just another resident. They really know her as the strong person she has been and the dependent person she is now. We are so very fortunate that she is in this unique and wonderfully caring place.
Thankyou so much for taking time to review us and your wonderfully kind words.
The level of communication from the Home is excellent and inclusive.
As a family, we consider ourselves very lucky to have Mum in such a safe and caring environment.
Thank you for your feedback, its lovely to hear your thoughts and that you are happy with the care your Mother receives. We will be sure to pass your feedback onto the entire team.
The care is well co-ordinated and supervised. If a problem arises, the management make sure they take time to talk with the resident. If further support is necessary they will access this in a timely manner. I find this very reassuring.
Thankyou for taking the time to review us and the lovely words you have written. Its great to hear that you are reassured by the care and support your loved ones receive. Its a pleasure having them here.
I am kept informed of any issues that arise which are normally resolved with out input from me.
Thank you for looking after a sometimes awkward and difficult resident so well.
Thankyou for taking the time to review. Your Father has been with us such a long time that he feels very much part of the family.
Respone to emails and any questions is fast and everything is delt with promptley and with out any hesitation or delay.
They are fast to notify me in any changes to Mothers helth and well being.
Thank you for such a lovely review, its an absolute pleasure to have your Mum here at Jubilee House
The environment is clean and well laid out. Grounds are maintained to a high standard. A range of activities are in place, hairdresser visits, chiropodist too.
There is very good communication with local GP surgery and other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Influenza and Covid vaccinations organised.
Thank you for your review, it is really appreciated and reassuring to hear that you feel the communication is excellent. Working in partnership with family members and other professionals is really important to us, in order to support and care for residents to the best of our ability. Thank you for your support, best wishes.
My mother has received great care and I feel they are doing all they can to make her quality of life as pleasant as possible considering she is 96 years old, frail and is often mentally confused. She is constantly being checked upon and the staff are very kind to her. Her physical needs are dealt with well and she is kept clean and comfortable.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, your mother is a charming lady of great character. It is a pleasure to care for her and as always if there is anything more we can do please do let us know. Best wishes.
Concerns were listened to and nearly always actioned.
Communication with a specific care need not always 100%, but concerns are always addressed.
Thank you for your review. The pandemic was an incredibly challenging time for everyone, and we are really pleased we are moving forward now. We always aim to do our very best, so please do contact a member of the leadership team if there is anything you need to discuss. Many thanks.
At every stage, the care he received was excellent. Staff understood that although he was a friendly man, Dad did not enjoy social gatherings and so he was never forced to join in with things he didn't want to.
As his care needs grew, senior staff kept me informed of what our options were and were always happy to discuss things and just to listen. All staff looked out for me as well as Dad.
Dad was treated with respect at all times.
I feel very lucky that we had Seckford Care so close by.
Dear Sarah, thank you so much for your kind words. Your dad was such a gentleman; it was a pleasure for us to support him over the years.
Seckford Care is a truly exceptional home. Over the last six years, it has not only provided brilliant care for my father despite his profound Alzheimer’s but has supported my mother expertly both while she cared for my father and since his death. All the staff are thoughtful, kind and extremely hard-working. The facilities are excellent, and the location is beautiful and safe.
Thank you for your lovely review; it has been and is an absolute pleasure caring for your parents.

Cassie has been working at Seckford Care since 2016, originally appointed as a relief carer. Since 2020, Cassie has been steadily progressing in her career, from COVID Administrator to Seckford Club Manager in 2021, overseeing the relaunch of the Club.
Most recently, we were delighted to appoint Cassie as Registered Manager/Head of Care with the Care Quality Commission, for both the Almshouses and Jubilee House. Cassie achieved her QCF Level 4 Leadership and Management in Care Services in 2021 in just six months and has now commenced her QCF Level 5.
Cassie has proven herself to be a dedicated member of the Leadership Team, possessing the values that demonstrate her commitment to caring for others.

Mandy was originally appointed as a carer in 2010, progressing to Activities Lead for Seckford Care in 2017.
Her successes include being nominated as a finalist at the National Care Awards 2020, being promoted to Activities and Wellbeing Manager, and, most recently, taking on the role of Deputy Manager for Jubilee House and Activities.
Mandy now manages a small team, delivering activities for residents and organising social events in order to combat loneliness and focus on promoting resident wellbeing.

Hayley joined the Leadership Team in 2021 as Team Leader and has been promoted to Deputy Manager for Extra Care.
Commencing her career as a carer in 2002, Hayley has worked in domiciliary care and residential care. Hayley’s previous role was a Senior Carer in a residential home, with special responsibility for medication.
Hayley is an absolute asset to the team; her ‘can-do’ attitude includes providing direct support to residents and the staff team on shift and assisting the Leadership Team to ensure the highest standards of care for the residents at Seckford.
