After a fall and a hip replacement my mum has moved into Barn Park. She is comfortable and calm. the staff are attentive and lovely, I am very happy to see her here and feel she is being well taken care of. She is eating well and enjoys the pleasent environment.

We are just hoping she moves onto a place where she is this happy.

From my first contact with Barn Park - telephone call to make an app to visit, the actual visit on a Sunday morn, met at the door from the member of staff in charge - our thoughts of B.P are amazing! All staff extremely friendly, caring, always aproachable, always have time and answers.

BP has a wonderful 'homely' feel, relaxed, happy, comfortable & caring. Our family is so grateful to everybody at the home, our mum is settling in well & we are very assured she is safe.

I visited the care home on a number occasions with my wife, to visit my wife's mother. On each and every occasion I visited, all the care team were friendly, helpful and very professional. We were given details of the care plan that was in place, how it was to be implemented and progress reports as to it's efficacy. I was very impressed with how the staff intetacted with both the person recieving care and us as relatives.

Our thanks go to all the staff for the care they provided.

The setting of this reablement unit, is in a most beautiful garden. We are each taught individually, how to increase and strengthen our muscles and become well again.
I love the fact that I can also walk in fresh air and exercise in an outside veranda.
We are all cared for as if we were in a lovely hotel, being served with very interesting and varied meals by devoted and imaginative chefs. We all feel very safe here.
We each have designed medications that are administered individually. Our carers, often have other abilities and have built interesting lives by studying at universitiesand and gaining degrees.
All our carers here, have a natural ability to, very kindly and with passion for each of us individually,. make we feel loved and therefore, lifted up.
Above all, Jude, our,Head of Care here, is full of incredible energy and her imaginative approach to us is full of hilarious comedy and joking with all of us.

I shall leave my stay here with great fondness and love. Julia

Barn park rehabilitation has very kind staff.
Very caring and attentive.
Sometimes there isn't enough staff around when a resident may need assistance, due to being short staffed or busy with other residents maybe.
If a loved one is in there for a long time, there is not much interaction or stimulation for them.can be long days....its not the staffs fault, residents aren't meant to be there long term.Activities or entertainment would help.
The food is great and plenty of it.

There is a lovely deck outside for when weather is good.lovely pond.

Mum has been in rehab at Barn Park for just over a month. The whole team is totally caring, Jude and Serena have been exceptionally helpful with Jude's can-do attitude amazing in making things happen, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The relationships with the local medical teams is excellent and completely joined up. It's been a pleasure to get to know the team at Barn Park.

I joined my brother for a Royal Roast to celebrate the King's Coronation with my wife. A great deal of effort had been made for the event, to produce a delicious lunch, lovely decorations and friendly company, a very well organised event.

My father has been in hospital for more than 5 months. It was very difficult to find a placement for him, Barn Park gave him a home from home, we can tell the staff really care about the residents.

Overall Experience

Today I attended a morning outing to the local garden centre with my mother, other residents and care staff. After being provided with a wheelchair my mother had full access to the facility and got to enjoy the atmosphere while moving around with ease. It was wonderful to experience the joy of the other residents and my mum, watching them all smile and interact with each other as well as the care staff was very reassuring. It's easy to forget the bond and relationship that develops between them all in-between visits. We finished our morning with refreshments, cake and laughter. Back at the care home the two of us sat and did some puzzles and looked at pictures until it was time for me to depart. Thank you to all the staff at Barn Park for the quality time with my mother and her friends, you truly are fantastic.
