Barn park rehabilitation has very kind staff.
Very caring and attentive.
Sometimes there isn't enough staff around when a resident may need assistance, due to being short staffed or busy with other residents maybe.
If a loved one is in there for a long time, there is not much interaction or stimulation
for them.can be long days....its not the staffs fault, residents aren't meant to be there long term.Activities or entertainment would help.
The food is great and plenty of it.
There is a lovely deck outside for when weather is good.lovely pond.

Mum has been in rehab at Barn Park for just over a month. The whole team is totally caring, Jude and Serena have been exceptionally helpful with Jude's can-do attitude amazing in making things happen, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The relationships with the local medical teams is excellent and
completely joined up. It's been a pleasure to get to know the team at Barn Park.
Reply from Brenda Patel, Company Secretary/Co-Owner at Barn Park Care HomeHi Peter
We are so glad that you are happy with the reablement unit and the the staff including Jude, Head Of Care. She definitely does have a "can-do attitude" and I'm glad this has worked for both mum and you. We are very pleased to receive your feedback. Many thanks for the positivity.

This home is wonderful, my brother Bob is very, very happy, which considering how ill he is, is a miracle. The staff are excellent and we can't thank them enough. It feels like home from home and we really appreciate the professional care he's being given. Thank you. Brian & Lin Atkins

I joined my brother for a Royal Roast to celebrate the King's Coronation with my wife. A great deal of effort had been made for the event, to produce a delicious lunch, lovely decorations and friendly company, a very well organised event.

My father has been in hospital for more than 5 months. It was very difficult to find a placement for him, Barn Park gave him a home from home, we can tell the staff really care about the residents.

Today I attended a morning outing to the local garden centre with my mother, other residents and care staff. After being provided with a wheelchair my mother had full access to the facility and got to enjoy the atmosphere while moving around with ease. It was wonderful to experience the joy of the other
residents and my mum, watching them all smile and interact with each other as well as the care staff was very reassuring. It's easy to forget the bond and relationship that develops between them all in-between visits. We finished our morning with refreshments, cake and laughter. Back at the care home the two of us sat and did some puzzles and looked at pictures until it was time for me to depart. Thank you to all the staff at Barn Park for the quality time with my mother and her friends, you truly are fantastic.
Reply from Brenda Patel, Care Consultant at Barn Park Care HomeIt was a pleasure as always to see you, Mark, Mum really looks forward to your visits, as do the staff. Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback.
We are looking forward to your next visit already.

The bedroom is very good. The cleaning very good.
The staff here are very friendly and helpful. There is a very nice conservatory and a large garden. A dining room and two lounges both have a good size TV. All the bedrooms have a T.V.

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.656)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.656) out of 10 for Barn Park Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.781 for Barn Park Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (25 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 32 Ratings = 4.781
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.875 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Barn Park Care Home is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 24 registered maximum number of service users is 4.8. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 4.8 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
