Venn House is situated in the picturesque countryside just 3 miles from Tavistock and 8 miles from Launceston in the Tamar Valley and provides luxury accommodation for people who require additional care and support in later life.

The home is situated on spacious, park-like grounds and features a team of professional staff who will ensure residents relax as they receive quality care and attention.

Venn House offers accommodation in both the Coach House and the linked, modern, purpose-built unit, all of which provide bespoke, luxury accommodations.

Residents are invited to personalise their rooms with their choice of colour for the painted walls, artwork, and familiar furniture — creating a space that truly feels like their own.

The home is wheelchair accessible and ideal for use by service users on a short, long-stay or respite basis.

Residents can enjoy well-appointed accommodation and garden walks, often enjoying cream teas on the home's patio, as well as benefiting from freshly prepared, home-cooked meals, an activities programme and views of the surrounding countryside.

All the staff at Venn House Residential Care Home are very kind and compassionate. Any issues or concerns are addressed promptly. Equally, they contact me quickly if I need to provide specific items to support mum's care. Venn House is small and personable. My mum is very happy there.

My mum has been a resident of Venn for a number of years now. Mum is now immobile , cannot feed herself and has dementia. The care that mum receives as a resident of Venn is extremely good. The Manager and her Team are all caring and professional. Sadly I live over 200 miles away from mum which makes
it very hard but the Team at Venn keep me informed about mum and are always happy to speak on the phone no matter how often I call. Venn feels very relaxed and happy and the staff are caring and kind. I consider mum and I very fortunate that she is a resident at Venn.

Mum has been at Venn for nearly 18 months and we are very happy with the care she receives. Mum has Alzheimer's and has difficulty conveying what she needs. The staff are very patient with her and take time to listen and understand. Everyone at Venn is so thoughtful and professional and it's such a
relief to know Mum is being well looked after. Mum loves doing puzzles and they made Mum a puzzle themed cake for her birthday. It's these little things that have really helped Mum settle there. I always feel like the staff are on top of any health concerns we have with Mum and the manager especially always has time to listen and chat if we have any worries about Mum. We definitely made the right choice in choosing Venn for Mum.

My father became a resident at Venn House in 2020 (early in the pandemic). He suffered from dementia and had to make the transition from independent living to requiring 24 hour support in difficult circumstances. He was a resident for more than 2 years.
Venn House staff were understanding, supportive
and respectful of his wishes and demands.
He remained independently mobile and was allowed to wander throughout the building, engaging and refusing offers of help as he saw fit. He felt safe and in control of what he wanted to do.
He liked his big airy en suite room which had a large window overlooking the car park, trees and entrance. He enjoyed watching the comings and goings and weather.
Venn very quickly became home. He felt comfortable, relaxed and content there and liked interacting with staff and residents when he wanted.
The inevitable restricted visiting for family was painful for us but the staff navigated this well with understanding and support.

My darling mum was so down and her health wasn't great and she had been in another home, where she just wanted to go home! When she came to Venn House, this all changed. She was the happiest I'd seen her in so long. She was treated like family. The warmth from the staff was also shared with me and my
family and it was a home, it was safe and set in such a beautiful setting. I am so grateful for how wonderful everyone here has been. They made the last part of my mum's life, wonderful. Coming to visit was a good experience, when we had to leave there was no anxiety, as she was happy and that was down to the incredible care and love she was bathed in. The wonderful activities as well, were so lovely. It is a joyful place and I can't begin to express how grateful I am to all the amazing team there. Thank you.

My husband has Alzheimers and I had to be admitted urgently to hospital. The staff at Venn House could not have been more kind and helpful. The room is tasteful and the overall ambiance delightful. He is being cared for with kindness and respect and I couldn't ask for more.

Venn House is set in a tranquil, rural setting, with the sounds of the countryside gently filtering into the building when the windows are open. I have found that the relationships between staff, residents and visitors are very good: kind friendly staff who treat my cousin, and I am sure the other residents
as individuals, with compassion and warmth. Visitors are welcomed warmly, with offers of tea/coffee and refreshments.
I and other friends and families of residents have the reassurance of knowing that their loved one has a good quality of life in a happy, comfortable, caring home.

My mother has been resident at Venn House for a year. She is happy and contented and I am so pleased we found such a lovely place for her during her twilight years. I am a retired nurse, so my standards are high. The two things that I would particularly like to comment on are the food and the staff.
I so much appreciate the gentleness, kindness and professionalism that is shown to my Mum. She loves her food, and the cooks are excellent, producing consistently delicious, varied and nutritious home cooked meals. Personal preferences are catered for and supper is always chosen from a list of options. The main house has a lovely ambience, reminding my Mum of her childhood on a Cornish farm. Family and friends are welcomed and always made to feel part of 'the family'. The newer accommodation is very thoughtfully designed. Venn House is set in rural Devon and is a a tranquil and pretty place to be. All the staff take a pride in what they do, and are always friendly and helpful.

Nine years ago I had to find a care home for my mother. After visiting 10 care homes, Venn House was the best I visited and met with my mother's needs at that time. Nine years further on and her health has deteriorated with the onset of dementia. The care she has received over the years has been excellent
from the hard working staff, they are always on hand to answer a bell, help with feeding residents when they become unwell and in general, resident's needs are always met.. Cleanliness is paramount at Venn both in the welfare of the elderly residents and the upkeep of their rooms.
