Bascombe Court

Fantastic care home and staff. My mum has lived here for nearly 4 years and she loves it. The staff go out of their way to help, they are kind, friendly, professional and I feel my mum is well loved and cared for.

There is a little coffee area, beautiful views over the bay and plenty of activities to keep everyone moving and smiling. All the food is cooked on site.

My mother-in-law has been in Bascombe Court for seven years and we have visited the home throughout this time. We always come unannounced so we see the home as it normally is. We cannot fault it. Her room is always immaculate and mum is clean and tidy. She eats well and she says the staff are very kind. That is what we see.

Having some experience of other care homes where other family members are resident, I will be forever grateful that Bascombe Court came to their rescue when needed.

Very clean rooms and nothing is to much trouble for anyone

Since my mother-in-law was admitted to Bascombe Court, she has been treated with exceptional care. I can’t wish for anything better; the staff have been fantastic through the whole pandemic reassuring us. Would definitely recommend.

My mum was admitted to Bascombe Court the middle of April and I can honestly say I would have no problem recommending it to anyone. The care mum received was excellent and the manager and all the staff are lovely and so helpful. Mum was extremely happy there and they made the last few weeks of her life very happy and comfortable giving me peace of mind.

I can't thank Bascombe Court enough for giving my Aunt a new beginning at 94. Thank you all!

My mother has now lived here for 6 1/2 years and she describes the staff as her second family. She is always telling me how lucky she has been to find such a lovely place to live. Recent improvements to the building make the place light, bright and very attractive. Dining room and lounge furniture have all been replaced with light wood, including a beautiful set of bookshelves. Mum has no complaints and I have to thank management and staff for helping us as a family with any problems.

I feel totally relaxed with my mother living in Bascombe Court. The staff are delightful, friendly and most importantly make eye contact with you when I visit, ask you how you are and offer you a cup of tea. All the staff seem to be friends with the residents, which makes it one big happy family. My mother seems very contented and well cared for here. Well done to the management and staff. Looking forward to the Christmas party.

Mum settled in quite quickly and although we ask on every visit, she has "nothing to complain about at all, all very good". We think she really enjoys the social contact and the staff are always very kind and attentive. The room/facilities and good are of a very good standard and the management team friendly, flexible and responsive - it is a real "home from home".

My mother has been in Bascombe Court for just over a year and is very happy, as are my sister and I. We can come and go as we please. The atmosphere in the home and with the staff is lovely. We are always offered tea and cakes. Mum's room is always cleaned to a high standard, her medical and dietary needs are always dealt with to high standards. We would like to say that the chairs in the dining room are quite heavy and we think it would be a good idea if there were some lighter fold up chairs in the lounge.

The care my mother receives at Bascombe Court is second to none. She has been there many years now and she is and always has been very happy and contented, thanks to the wonderful staff who do a great job in looking after her.

Cannot praise this home enough! Mum is happy and feels safe, which is so important with Dementia.

The staff are truly dedicated and enjoy their jobs - from manager to domestics. This home has changed the family circumstances for the better - we can all relax knowing Mum is being so well looked after.

All staff at every level are caring and patient. They always listen and try to provide for individual requests. All the residents always look clean, happy and I visit at least once or twice per week.

I cannot fault how both my parents (who are not easy) are being looked after.

It has made a huge difference to my life to know they are safe and cared for so well.

Food is good. Generally, the carers are OK. I have no quibble with them at all. They respond fairly quickly when I press the buzzer.

Very pleased with my mother's care in all aspects. A very pleasant care home with friendly and helpful staff and would highly recommend to others.

My mother broke her hip in April and for 5 months went in and out of care until we found Bascombe. What a wonderful place. She is so settled now that the change in her attitude has been incredible. We can't praise it enough.

I have found the care home to be a warm and friendly atmosphere, with excellent caring staff. The food looks great! and can honestly say it feels like a home from home and I would not hesitate to recommend.
