Welcome to Guild House, a hugely popular residential home offering quality accommodation in a tranquil and secure setting. Guild House doesn't just provide a place to stay; it is a true home for each resident. The team's philosophy is that they work in the residents’ home – residents don’t live in their place of work.

Guild House features accommodation for 34 residents, spanning three floors. The top two floors, Bluebell Wing and Grace Wing, are thoughtfully dedicated to residents with dementia. The team understands the importance of feeling at home and encourages residents to personalise their rooms. Those rooms are all equipped with en-suite facilities, bespoke furniture and are decorated and designed to the highest standard.

Common spaces, including dining rooms and lounges, are on each floor, these promote a sense of community and great places for events and activities. A large conservatory opens onto beautiful gardens, providing a sunny retreat. Smaller seating areas are strategically placed for quiet chats or reading. Grace Wing also boasts a calming garden room.

Freshly cooked meals, prepared in the on-site kitchens, are available at any time. Snacks and drinks are readily accessible day or night.

The team strives to provide an unparalleled experience, ensuring residents feel completely at ease from the moment they arrive. They also undergo specialised training to support residents living with dementia, demonstrating their commitment to personalised care.

Mum had been a resident at Guild House since 2018. She was extremely happy there and couldn't have been better cared for even if she was the Queen. As her dementia deteriorated every care was taken to cater for all of her needs and when she passed the staff also cared for us. An amazing group of people
for which we will be forever grateful. Bless every one of them.

My parents first came to Guild House Residential Home for respite, following hospital stays. That had been having home care visits, but we're falling and not managing. The staff at the home made them feel safe and secure. They decided to stay. They particularly enjoy all the activities and outside entertainers
that come in. My dad loves the home made food. All the staff treat my parents with dignity and respect. It is a great weight off my mind knowing that they are so well looked after. Thank you.

I could not be happier with the care and attention my beloved wife, who has advanced dementia, receives as a resident at Guild House in Gloucester.
All the staff, from the senior management team down to those charged with the most basic tasks, are superbly trained in dealing with those in their care
and they do so with dignity and good humour.
On my daily visits, I have been most impressed over the past months that the staff always refer to the residents personally by their first names and are prepared to take time to, listen to, respond to and make eye contact with those in their care.
My wife seems at home at Guild House now, which is a comfort to me beyond measure. She is being looked after there far better than I could possibly hope to do so by myself at home, and I thoroughly recommend this care home to you.

My husband was very well looked after by caring and dedicated staff. He spent two weeks on Grace Wing and was very content. The care he received was of a high standard and he responded well to being in a homely environment.

At the end of November 2023, my Father went to live in Guild House, his welcome was warm and friendly and he soon settled into a new routine, particularly enjoying the lovely meals. At the beginning of this year, he became unwell and needed more help, this was provided with care and kindness. his last
few weeks were difficult for him and the family as he grew weaker, everything that could be done to make him more comfortable was done, this was a great comfort to the family.

Guild House is an excellent care home. You would be very demanding to find anywhere better. The staff are well trained and caring. No problem is too difficult to resolve, this is a particular requirement when caring for dementia residents.

My mum is a resident and really enjoys all the activities. She is always doing something, from crafts to playing group games. The home is very good at getting everyone in the family involved too; they really include us as a family.

Auntie was so very well looked after, not always the easiest of people to get on with but they always were so gentle and kind. I was so grateful that the dreaded Covid-19 never entered the home, well done to the team at Guild House Residential Home. The activities lady used to give her a hand massage,
do her nails and would sit and chat with her if she wasn't up to attending a group. Really they were very attentive and the food was lovely. I recall a couple of events that families were invited to and I was always impressed with the catering. Very nice altogether, a dignified home.

Hi, my name’s Emma and I have been working for the Trust at Guild House for 18 years. I started as a Care Assistant, all those years ago and rose through the ranks until I was given the opportunity to become a Registered Manager last year (2022). When I am not at work, I like spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going to Devon on my holidays where I can be found on a boat either fishing or having the odd drink or two.

I am the deputy manager at Guild House. I have worked for the trust for around 18 years, although I did have a gap when I went to university and trained as a nurse. I do love working with the elderly and we have a great team of people here who all want to ensure the residents have the best possible care.
