Hi, my name’s Emma and I have been working for the Trust at Guild House for 18 years. I started as a Care Assistant, all those years ago and rose through the ranks until I was given the opportunity to become a Registered Manager last year (2022). When I am not at work, I like spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy going to Devon on my holidays where I can be found on a boat either fishing or having the odd drink or two.
I am the deputy manager at Guild House. I have worked for the trust for around 18 years, although I did have a gap when I went to university and trained as a nurse. I started as a care assistant working weekends and then went up to a Shift Leader, then Dementia Lead and then Head of Care. I do love working with the elderly and we have a great team of people here who all want to ensure the residents have the best possible care. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family and going on walks with my dog.
My name is Kate.
I have been working with Gloucester Charities Trust for just over 6 years, at the Head Office and then here at Guild House Residential Home. I’m the Home Administrator and love working here at Guild House as my role is so varied, with no one day being the same as the next. I have the privilege of working with our lovely Residents, meeting their families and being of general assistance to staff and those enquiring about Residential Care for their loved ones.
In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family and get out exploring our glorious countryside. This usually involves either me Horse Riding or Walking out in the beautiful Forest of Dean/Gloucestershire and further away up steep hills or mountains too! I also find time to support my local Community Hall by being involved in arranging Community events.
My name is Helen, I am the Dementia Care Lead at Guild House. I have worked at Guild House for 11 years. I have a passion for looking after residents with dementia and I also provide dementia training for the staff. I love getting to know the residents and their families and making a difference in the care we provide to our residents. In my spare time, I like to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy holidays and going for walks with my dog.
