I cannot thank the staff enough for the exceptional care, kindness, and compassion they have shown my mum. From the moment she arrived, she has been treated with dignity, respect, and genuine affection, which has given our whole family enormous peace of mind.
The staff go above and beyond every day, taking the time to get to know each resident as an individual and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and their patience, professionalism, and warmth shine through in everything they do.
The home itself is welcoming, clean, and homely, creating a lovely environment where residents can truly feel at home. Communication with families is excellent, and we are always kept informed and reassured.

Knowing that my mum is surrounded by people who genuinely care for her wellbeing means more than words can express. We are incredibly grateful for the support, dedication, and kindness shown to her every day. I would wholeheartedly recommend this care home

My father has lived at The Laurels since 2020. It is a small home and feels like a large family. All the staff are cheerful, friendly and caring. My father is happy, contented and very well cared for.
Over the years his care needs have changed and increased. The Laurels has adapted and developed his care without problems.

I can't imagine a nicer place for my father to live and would highly recommend The Laurels.

whenever I visit the care home, there's always a loving and welcoming environment not even just with the staff but with residence as well. My parents and I were very worried when moving my nan's care at home but our nerves were settled very quickly with the warm atmosphere. Overall my Nan has never been happier.

The Laurels care home have been amazing at accommodating my elderly mother in recent months, ensuring that she feels at home and comfortable whilst getting used to the home and its residents. She has been attending on a single day per week, and is enjoying the familiarity she has gained with the home through staff support and growing resident friendships.

My elderly neighbour lost his wife and struggled with life on his own so it was down to me to find a suitable care home for his needs. It took me one visit to The Laurels in Huntley to realise this was the perfect home. The staff are absolutely fantastic and you are made to feel like this if your home. My neighbour has settled in so well and loves all the staff, the food is fantastic and loving life again. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Moved my mother into The Laurels in March 2024.

They made the move as seamless as possible and the staff are supportive and caring. The food is home-cooked and delicious.

Reply from Issabella North, Registered Manager/Owner at The Laurels

The move for this lady was very difficult for her presenting with many anxieties, but working with the family proved to be a great success and she is happy and settled now into her new home.

Happy, helpful and friendly staff. Clean, warm and very welcoming. Staff are always on hand to answer questions and help residents when called for. Meals cooked on-site are healthy and nutritious and my father is allowed to eat whatever he likes. Would recommend it to anyone.

Mum and dad had lived with me for six years and I was finding it increasingly difficult to cope with dads dementia and mums increasing frailty. They are both 95 years old. When the double room became available it was felt as if it was meant to be. Mum and dad stayed for two weeks respite at first to see if they liked it. The staff are lovely, very welcoming and always cheerful. Mum and dad are made to feel valued, and comfortable and that nothing is too much trouble. It is home from home with home-cooked meals, their own things around them, company if they want it or quiet time in their room. Mum and dad are happy which is all I could want.

The Laurels in Huntley offers a homely environment with just a few residents. As soon as you walk in, you receive a friendly, warm welcome from all of the staff. The home is always clean and tidy and if you speak to the residents, they all love it there. Most residents have been there some time and will all tell you how lovely all of the staff are. Meals are all home cooked with fresh ingredients and residents are pampered with tea, cake and snacks throughout the day. Residents can go for a daily walk and are given autonomy over their own spending choices at the local shop. A care home choice is never easy, but The Laurels are brilliant at supporting the transition. They take over all medication and are always available to talk; especially when you just need that bit of reassurance. Thank you Team Laurels, from the bottom of my heart!

Mum has happily resided here for good number of years. She has enthused about the new owners and staff. The quality of care and the food. She is related to the previous owners and therefore was a little apprehensive about the new ones, however hers fears were soon allayed and is wonderfully enjoying her care here. Would certainly recommend them.

From the first look at the website, it seemed clear to me that this was a caring and friendly place for my mother to go to. My first chat with the management was very reassuring, and the fact that there are only a small number of clients also meant that the staff/client ratio is always good. My mother has improved her quality of life and her underlying mood is so much better. Thanks.

When my friend needed a care home locally, I had heard The Laurels had a good reputation, and a neighbour of mine was having her aunt looked after there and highly recommended it. So when my friend went there, it was everything and more that was expected from a care home. It is a lovely home, and my friend is very happy there. The staff and management are really helpful and treat everyone with the same hospitality. Highly recommended.

I just want to give my thanks to all of the staff at The Laurels for the care that they had given my grandfather over the past two years. Moving a loved one into a care facility is never easy, but as soon as I walked into The Laurels it felt like a home. I will be forever grateful for the care that you provided him with and I will recommend The Laurels to everybody. Thanks again.
