Living close to Wisma Mulia, I'm a frequent visitor, where I always receive a warm reception. A very sincere and caring approach from all staff, no matter their role, but always with absolute professionalism. Social staff always strive to offer a mixed activities programme and have accommodated my mother's
own predilections to gardening and cooking, amongst others. Housekeeping and facilities staff maintain the accommodation to high standards. Catering and office staff do not hide themselves away. On the contrary, they always mingle with residents in a genuine and caring manner. Residents' rooms are of a good size, many with either a large jettied bay window or a patio on ground floor accommodation. Common areas include a comfortable sitting room, a hall for larger events, and the pleasant garden room, which sees daily use where visitors and residents can meet and enjoy activities, hot drinks and if you're lucky, some of the Chef's tasty bites. In the warmer months, the gardens are a real asset with tables and chairs plentiful around the grounds. We all wish to live in our own homes, but when that's no longer a viable option, then you'd be hard-pressed to find a better alternative than here.

Wisma Mulia is a wonderful place. It feels and operates as a home, not just a care home. Thoughtful, warm and caring staff sustain the atmosphere at Wisma with a relaxed and positive outlook. The food is of a very high standard and the grounds are well maintained and can be enjoyed at all times of the
year. I have a peace of mind knowing my fathers care is in such good hands. Thank you team Wisma!

Wisma Mulia is an exceptional care home where everyone is well cared for and made to feel valued. Before becoming a resident Mum would often visit friends there and join them for events such as movie nights and concerts. I can't praise the carers and other staff highly enough and they do their (often
difficult) work in good humour. Mum is in good hands.

All through Dec. the residents had different experienced, a play performed by actors touring across the country, school children singing carols. The staff are always cheerful and helpful. They really made Christmas special, inviting family for breakfast on Christmas Eve and generally going the extra
mile. I know my aunt thoroughly enjoyed the whole Christmas experience.

I am only a visitor but I consider this home to be five star. I always have a very warm welcome and am kept up to date regarding my friend. The dining room is beautiful and lovely to see, fresh linen and such lovely menus.

I have known Wisma Mulia for over 40 years, and my mother lived here for the last 20 years of her life. I have been continually impressed and thankful for the love, care and attention given by the Trustees and staff to their residents over the year. Regarding activities and safety/security, I have no
direct experience with those aspects.

Dad has now been at Wisma Mulia for just over a year and we've been really happy with the way he's been cared for. The staff are lovely and very patient. The place itself is also great and encourages interaction between the guests and staff. Lastly, the food is fantastic.

My dad has been really enjoying his stay at Wisma Mulia since the moment he moved in. There is a cozy shared space where residents congregate to enjoy each other's company. Additionally, activities and games are organised on a regular basis, as well as outings in the surrounding areas.
The food is
absolutely exceptional every single day. Residents get an abundant breakfast every morning. Lunch is the highlight of their dining experience, as it's a scrumptious 3 course meal (starter, main course and pudding). Residents always get a choice of two different menus. The head chef is truly an angel. I've seen him being very attentive to their needs, making sure the food is soft enough and easily chewable, whilst always relating to them in a warm and caring way. Needless to say we very much enjoy taking part to the meals every time we visit. Most importantly, my dad went through some health challenges recently and here is where the Wisma Mulia staff really excelled in their care. Thank you!!!

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.977 for Wisma Mulia is calculated as follows: ( (125 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 128 Ratings = 4.977
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.775 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Wisma Mulia is based on 11 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 = 3.775
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 17 registered maximum number of service users is 3.4, which has been reached with 11 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
