Paula is a 20 year experienced psychiatric nurse who, since 2013, has been a registered manager, first in residential and later in specialist dementia care.
Paula has a passion for enriching peoples lives through meaningful occupation and promoting independence. She strives to support residents to continue to build relationships-her vision is for life to go on, not stop.
Paula's husband, Rob, is a minister of a busy church, and they have four children who are now young adults.
Enya began her journey in care at 16 when she was offered an apprenticeship at Heron House -she loved it so much, she never left!
During her time at Heron House, she has striven to succeed and her developmental potential was recognised and she has continually developed and progressed from apprentice, to carer, to senior, to Unit Manager and now as Head of Care.
Enya is dedicated to supporting each resident to live their best life and finds each day rewarding. She feels humbled to be part of their journey and particularly enjoys listening to their life stories and anecdotes.
Enya also has a partner and young daughter who keeps her busy!
Kate has been working in the care industry for more than 20 years during which time she has constantly worked to develop her skills, knowledge and understanding of care of the elderly. Kate has worked in a variety of environments, including nursing and now residential care.
Kate loves supporting and caring for residents who live at Abbeyfield, supporting them to enjoy life to the fullest and being part of their journey.
Alongside a passion for care, Kate has also raised a family and has 5 children aged from 21 to 11, so is certainly kept busy outside of work too!
With a genuine love for working with our residents and a deep understanding of their needs, Jan is dedicated to creating a vibrant and enriching environment for all. With 19 years at Abbeyfield and 34 years of experience in care, Jan has witnessed first-hand the transformative power of engaging in activities and promoting physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
Jan firmly believes that every resident deserves to live a life filled with purpose and joy and she strives daily to make that a reality.
Outside of Abbeyfield, Jan continues to explore her creative side through a range of activities and hobbies. Love for her family makes her life complete as they continue to support her and all her crazy ideas! Jan has two children, 2 daschunds and a very stubborn siamese cat.
