Rebecca and her team cared for both of our parents in their final months. I cannot speak highly enough of them and would recommend Field House for its professionalism, kindness and compassion. It has a warm and homely atmosphere. My Dad particularly enjoyed the garden is his final summer.
We feel very fortunate to have found such a caring, comfortable home!
Thank you so much Rebecca, Dean and all the staff for being there for us all.
Incredibly caring staff, lovely setting, extremely professional and very supportive. Very happy with the care my mother is getting here, having been at the care home for the past two years. Care is adapted well as she has deteriorated.
Her visitors were made to feel welcome, there was always a cup of tea or coffee on offer. Although she was only here a short time I miss visiting her in her comfortable, gorgeous room.
I cannot thank the manager or her staff enough for the care, love and friendship that they gave Mum. Thank you.
The staff follow the manager's strong lead in trying to recreate a happy, family atmosphere and that certainly works. I loved the way everyone tries to stay connected to the outside world and many people go in to arrange a wide range of activities! I loved the way national holidays and events of importance are observed.
My aunt was extremely ill this past June and unfortunately, passed away! I was kept informed at all times and her care was exemplary. I cannot thank the manager and her staff enough. They are true "angels on earth".
Residents are treated with dignity and gentleness and family are kept fully informed.
Visitors are made to feel very welcome, too. I would highly recommend Field House.
My mother moved into Field House when she was 101, suffering from dementia. To ease her move we arranged with the manager on a days basis for 2-3 weeks. She then went on a permanent basis and is now approaching 104. Whilst there, my mother has had a number of health issues; inc. cellulitis with daily district nurses visits, 999 calls to paramedics and most recently COVID 19. At each stage, the manager and her carefully selected team of Field House carers have always been there for my mother, showing her respect, consideration and willing to put themselves out to accommodate my mother’s best interests. My mother was fortunate to find a caring environment where all the staff exercise their patience and goodwill to serve her best interests. I have no hesitation in recommending Field House. During the lockdown, they have all been extremely careful and in accommodating window calls whenever practical. Much appreciation to the manager and her care team. Thank you so much.
If anyone is looking into true care for an elderly person then look no further. Thank you so much all of you!
All of the residents are treated with love, care and dignity. My sister and I had such peace of mind knowing Mum was being so well looked after and will be forever grateful for this. The manager and her team genuinely care about every resident and treat them as their own family. Sadly, Mum passed away last year and the team cared for her to the very end - arranging for oxygen to be brought in and keeping her comfortable in her room. The family were so moved by the procession of all the staff who came to pay their last respects showing their genuine love for her. The whole family would not hesitate to recommend Field House.
We are so grateful to all the staff who are coming in to care for all the elderly and leaving their own families at this difficult time. We so appreciate the wonderful care that they give to each resident, they are consistently kind and compassionate and we are truly grateful to them all - especially as we are unable to visit ourselves. Thank you so so much. We can relax at home knowing that our relative is in the best safe hands available. You all are very special.. thank you.
My Mum came to Field House in Nov 2017, for two weeks respite, but loved it so much she didn't want to leave. The wonderfully caring team soon had her gaining health and strength. Mum loved all the team enjoying the banter with them. She joined in the activities, particularly enjoying visits from local groups and schoolchildren and loved to sit in the garden in the sun. All the residents are treated with love, care and dignity. My sister and I had such peace of mind knowing Mum was being looked after with such love and care and will be forever grateful for this. The manager and her team genuinely care about their residents and treat them as they would their own family. Sadly, Mum passed away last year and the team cared for her to the end - arranging for oxygen to be brought in and keeping her comfortable in her room. We were moved by the procession of staff who came to pay their last respects to Mum and their genuine love for her. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Field House.
My mother has been a resident at Field House for nearly 2 years. I am totally satisfied with her care. I am impressed by the way care staff respond to her needs, the many kindnesses they show her and the patient and respectful way they relate to her and to all residents. There is a strong caring ethos in Field House which is reflected in the time spent with residents and in the very palpable Christian ethos nurtured by its owner and manager. Communication with families and outside agencies is strong and I and other members of my family are confident and grateful that my mother is well cared for. We no longer worry about her, knowing she is well cared for and very well looked after.
My step-aunt spent a year at The Field House in 2016. When she came from the hospital, she was frail but gained strength as a result of a kind and professional treatment received there. She regained her appetite and enjoying meals again. She told us that she was happy in F H. Her individuality was respected and indeed welcomed. She seemed content in the elegant surroundings and engaged when visitors gave talks on topics of interest to her such as flower arranging and sewing. She joined in keep-fit.
Regrettably, she passed away early this year. F H accommodated her well in the last few weeks, liaising with the hospital to obtain additional equipment required. The staff were very attentive and made every effort to make her comfortable, attending to her needs on a regular basis, day and night.
F. H. has a strong caring ethos inspired by Christian faith. This is clear in the way that residents and their relatives are treated.
We feel that Field House provided a real home for my step-aunt in her last days.
