Deborah Pritchard, our Registered Manager, is the backbone of The Priory, ensuring that every aspect of the home runs smoothly and to the highest standard. With a keen eye for detail and a deep commitment to excellence, Deborah creates a warm, homely environment where residents feel truly at ease. She works tirelessly to ensure that the care provided is of the highest quality, always putting the needs and well-being of our residents at the heart of everything we do.

Deborah’s exceptional leadership has been recognized beyond The Priory, as she was recently named runner-up for the WMCA Excellence in Care Awards 2024 in the Registered Manager category. This accolade reflects her unwavering dedication to providing outstanding care. Thanks to Deborah’s expertise and commitment, The Priory continues to be a place where residents receive not just care, but a true sense of belonging and comfort.

Gemma is our Deputy Manager here at The Priory, and she brings a friendly, approachable presence to the home, making everyone feel at ease. As the right hand to our Registered Manager, Gemma plays a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the home, stepping in to take charge when needed. Her focus is always on supporting the residents and making sure their choices and rights are respected, with an emphasis on maintaining as much independence as possible.

Gemma is also dedicated to providing personal care and health supervision, ensuring that each resident’s care plan is regularly reviewed and updated to meet their needs. She works closely with healthcare professionals to make sure any concerns are promptly addressed and is always available to assist wherever necessary. With Gemma’s warm, attentive approach, you can be confident that you or your loved one will receive the highest level of care and support.

Emily, along with all of our dedicated carers, is committed to ensuring that every resident feels happy, comfortable, and as independent as possible. As a care assistant, Emily’s primary role is to provide the care you need while always respecting your personal wishes and encouraging your independence. Whether it’s helping with your morning routine—such as showering, brushing your teeth, or even painting your nails—Emily is here to support you every step of the way. She also takes care of light housekeeping tasks, such as sending laundry to be washed, making or changing your bed, and ensuring your space is neat and tidy.

Throughout the morning, Emily will offer you meals and drinks, and if you’re joining in with daily activities, she’ll be right there with you, providing assistance and making sure you’re engaged and comfortable. Your physical and mental well-being are just as important to Emily as they are to you, which is why she takes the time to connect with you personally. She works closely with the senior staff on duty to ensure that your care is tailored to your individual needs, providing the best possible support.

As the day progresses, Emily will continue to assist with refreshments, mobility, and toileting if necessary, and will help you get ready for bed in the evening. With Emily’s compassionate care and attention, you can feel assured that you are in safe, capable hands.

Nicky is one of our talented cooks here at The Priory, and her passion for food truly shines through in every meal she prepares. Not only is she an expert in creating delicious, home-cooked meals, but she also takes great care to ensure that every dish is fresh, nutritious, and tailored to the individual needs of our residents. Whether it’s accommodating special dietary requirements like allergies, diabetes, or soft diets, or offering tasty vegetarian and pescatarian options, Nicky goes above and beyond to ensure everyone’s preferences are met.

In addition to her culinary skills, Nicky maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all. She also loves to get involved in special events, preparing mouth-watering finger foods for our residents' barbecues, parties, and celebrations throughout the year. At The Priory, we’re lucky to have someone as dedicated as Nicky, whose care and attention make every meal a true highlight of the day.
