Overall Experience
My Aunty has happily spent the last couple of years of her life being well cared for by the wonderful care staff at Birkdale and I will always be grateful for their compassion, professionalism and sense of fun.
My Aunty loved it here - the food, the people and the ways in which she was enabled to just be herself.

If you are choosing a care home for a loved one, I could not recommend Birkdale enough.

My mom has dementia and we had to put her in this care home. Its a lovely home all the carers and staff are very helpful and caring. The food looks really nice, my mom seem's to be happy there. They do a lot of different activities for them which is great. I'm happy she is in this home.

My family and I have been very impressed by the care and compassion shown to our relative. Over the years the home has improved year on year but what has remained a constant in the excellent care provided. We visit regularly and are always made welcome, our relative is always happy and well cared for. The home provides entertainment and special days to stimulate and provide enjoyment for residents and families. All the staff are caring, friendly. competent which translates into a pleasant environment for residents and families alike.

Birkdale care home is small and personal, a home from home, the carers and residents seem to be one big happy family, it has such a warm lovely feeling. My mm settled in straight away, staff are all so kind and caring and treat residents with respect and love. I would definitely recommend this care home.

The building is dated but undergoing mayor renovation. I feel very lucky to of got my mom into Birkdale. Thank you so much for looking after her so well. I feel reassured knowing she is happy and safe.

My mom went in for respite and eventually full time. I've been happy with the care my mom has been given since the first day she stayed. The staff are so caring with all the residents and do so much with them. Mom has a beautiful room and I've always been made to feel very welcome on each visit. I would highly recommend anyone's loved ones at birkdale. The staff treat the residents like they are their own family and it's so lovely to see.

My father is always well cared for at Birkdale. The staff are friendly, and professional and do their best for him. They always contact us if Dad is unwell and keep us well informed. We go twice a week and the staff tell us how he is and we always feel they are happy to take time to talk to us. The monthly newsletters about Dad is a great idea. We are very grateful to everyone at Birkdale for the care they give dad.
