The quality of my mum's life was significantly enhanced by being at Butterley House. Because she felt loved and cared for there, I believe she lived quite a bit longer than she would have done. All the staff are excellent, that I came across, including the kitchen staff and others. Not long before she died, Mum said it felt like being in a family. I know that is what she had missed and really wanted.

My mum has been at Butterley House for two years. I am extremely happy with them. The staff are brilliant, cleaners brilliant, cooks and gardener brilliant. The home is very clean and welcoming. I cannot thank them enough, nothing is too much trouble. Thank you everyone. I have no hesitation at recommending Butterley House and have already done so to friends. Thank you everyone.

My dad has been living at Butterley House for a few years now, and the care he receives is outstanding. The staff are truly amazing, from cleaners, gardeners, cooks and care staff; they all do their jobs to the highest of standards. I am informed of any alterations to his care or medication or any illnesses, and they tell me straight away. The home is clean, welcoming, fun, and a great place to live. They go that extra mile.

A friendly, happy and calm place, this home is safe and spotless with the smiley staff! Each member of the Butterley House team works hard, patiently and with good cheer to care for the resident's needs. My dad required an urgent move from an unsuitable home. The management team were very understanding and swift to give support to enable this to happen. Sadly, the Covid virus meant that our family never met the other residents, but we appreciated that Covid safety at the home was excellent. My dad's well-being was always considered, and medical advice was sought whenever needed. Living away from Ripley, my daily check-in phone calls were always welcomed by the staff. The app was also a useful way to keep in touch with how my dad was feeling. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone needing care.

Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, at the time, the visiting guidelines were limited due to the rise of Covid cases. This meant we were able to have visitors within the home, which were restricted to residents' bedrooms only and not in communal areas. As these restrictions have been...

Overall our experience of Butterley House has been outstanding and the communication from staff during the Covid 19 outbreak in the UK, has been brilliant and kept families keeping in touch if needed by "Face time" App. The care that the staff give my mother is second to none - I know as my Mam would tell me, if otherwise. Thank you to Butterley House.

Butterley House has provided good care for my mum who is ninety six years old. She has been a resident for just over a year now.
It was a very hard decision to put mum in a home but she has settled in quite nicely.
The staff are always helpful with mum and she always looks clean and tidy when we go to see her. If there is a problem it is soon sorted out.
Mum loves her food and the meals are excellent - she always clears her plate!
Now it is under new management the home is run more efficiently, a lot more activities for the residents and for families to join in as well. Mum enjoys her bingo on Sunday afternoons!
Her room is kept very clean and tidy and has en suite facilities. Mum likes spending time in her room watching the television and listening to her radio when she wants to have time on her own.

I would like to add that Butterley House is 'home from home' and I know mum is safe at all times.

Since the change of ownership and local management, this care home has been transformed, both in respect of the care the residents receive and by the refurbishment of the building.
The staff are caring, attentive, friendly and respectful to both residents and visitors alike. As a regular visitor, I see firsthand how they work as a team and nothing is too much trouble for them. They certainly work very hard to ensure the needs of residents are met.
My mother is a resident in Butterley House and I am very satisfied with how she is looked after. I trust the staff to ensure she feels comfortable, settled, supported and made to feel a valued individual.

Entrusting others with the care, safety and well-being of a loved one is excruciatingly difficult but I am completely comfortable with my mother living in the home. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Butterley House to anyone in this onerous position.

A very friendly environment. Residents are treated with affection and respect. There is laughter, and the staff seem happy. There are ongoing improvements which have made a big difference. The management team are professional, friendly and have a clear plan of how they want things to be run, which is evident when you visit.

This home offers outstanding care. My mother was a resident for just over 6 months and suffered with Alzheimer's Disease. The staff went to incredible lengths to make sure that she settled and felt secure, and the love and attention that was given to her was outstanding. She has unfortunately now passed away, but during her time at Butterley House, she felt she was with friends and was very attached to the staff members, who were so very kind to her

I will always be eternally grateful to everyone at Butterley for ensuring that my mum's last months were happy and she was care for, as it got too much for her to stay at home with my 86 year old dad.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone that has to make the heartbreaking decision to let someone else look after their loved one.
