The Lodge is a warm and welcoming care home located in attractive countryside surroundings, and is decorated to a consistently high standard.

All staff are well trained and have a passion for providing exceptional care. The team take pride in treating residents as individuals and ensuring that they receive person centred care and are treated with compassion, respect and dignity at all times.

The Lodge has a homely feel whilst offering a hotel finish, giving residents a place to live in comfort, quality, and safety. The mature gardens provide a beautiful setting for residents to enjoy and admire the rose garden.

All meals are prepared on site by a team of cooks who only use fresh produce to create an interesting and varied menu of meals. Any extra dietary needs are taken into consideration by the home when providing meals for residents.

I have recently asked the home to help with completing a form, they were brilliant and exceptionally helpful.
I visit my mum who has been here a year now about 3 times a week and all the staff are brilliant, friendly, helpful and caring to the residents and visitors.
I feel I am able to pop my head
around the office door and ask anything I need to ask at that time.

Friendly staff of all levels and the rooms are very pleasant which includes the dining room, sitting room, lounge and the bedroom. We are always made welcome. The Management are always attentive and respond quickly to both verbal and emails when I raise questions.

We as a family can not thank the lodge enough for all the care that they provide for my mum, and for the support they also give to our family. Everyone from the team from the top down have been very supportive. Nothing is too much trouble for anyone.

Do not send your loved ones to this home especially if they have dementia related issues. The staff are unable to look after them correctly but that is probably due to poor management. The home is tired. They are not fed nutritious foods only sandwiches or cheese and potato pie! Nice and cheap for the
greedy owners. Shame on you. It's time the CQC cracked down on these poorly ran homes. More inspections are required to make sure our loved ones are looked after in the Winter of their lives.

After a very challenging 18 months of caring for our wonderful mum as her dementia got worse and her health deteriorated we managed to secure a place at The Lodge for her. We were made to feel very welcome from the minute we set foot in the door. I find it a very comfortable place with just the right
amount of residents to make it feel like an extended family. It has been lovely getting to know the other residents and their families. Mum has a beautiful room overlooking the gardens, with her own private bathroom, but chooses to spend the majority of her time downstairs in the living room with her friends who support each other on a daily basis. Mum has settled really well and joins in all the activities on offer, she especially enjoys getting her hair done every week. The families are encouraged to be involved with daily life and it feels a very inclusive space. Thank you to all the amazing hard working team for making a tough decision easy to cope with.

I think the fact that my mum refers to The Lodge as 'home' says it all. It's so reassuring to us all to know that she is happy and well cared for. The recent garden party was fun. The staff had pulled out all the stops to make it memorable for residents and family. They are so hard-working and caring.
Since the new management earlier this year, it's gone from strength to strength. Thank you to everyone.

Kind and caring staff which I appreciate hugely. The home is efficiently managed and communication is clear and helpful. The family can call in to visit whenever we like and I can also bring my mother to visit us at our home.

My mother has been at the lodge now for 2 months, we have seen a remarkable change in her mental well-being and has regained that sparkle in her eye. The staff are attentive to her needs and pamper her like she has never been pampered before mum always smiles and is very chatty with us and her newfound
friends. The lodge is more like a family home welcoming and warm and my mum is so happy there and we are happy in the knowledge she is well cared for.

I have found The Lodge to have very friendly and helpful staff. One lady is a joy; she does the activities with the residents and makes lovely craft products.
Mum always looks happy and clean. And they keep me updated on any problems she may be having.

My mum has been at the Lodge for several years and is well looked after and is happy. If there is an occasional hiccup it is sorted rapidly.
Staff are great friendly and helpful.
It is relatively informal which in my mum's and my case is a strength.

My husband went for 2 weeks respite, I went to visit him after 2 days in there and was quite shocked at his appearance, he didn't have his proper clothes on and I stayed about an hour and a half. He was only just having breakfast at about quarter to eleven.
Then before I left it was dinner time 12.30
pm. What I saw on his plate was very unappetising, a small sausage, a spoonful of mash with a drop of gravy.
When I went to bring him home I was told by the staff his things would be packed and ready. In fact, I had to go chasing around for most of it.
He wears expensive digital hearing aids and he didn't have them in and one of them was missing, how they expect to communicate with him without them is beyond belief, I told the management it was missing but didn't seem bothered.
I was ringing them for days when we got home about the missing hearing aid and they said they hadn't found it, but as soon as I said I was going to claim on their insurance it was found, its incompetence.

My mum has been at The Lodge and I have to say that the care she receives is excellent. The staff appear kind, attentive and helpful. The residents are kept occupied and the care home hosts events for all the family to attend. Thank you for everything as I know mum is in safe hands.

Since my mother has been in the home (nine months) her health has improved due to regular drinks, decent meals and regular medication. The home is always clean and never smells. The staff are always ready to help. Mum seems happy and looks very well. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone
else looking for a safe place to place their parents.

I am very pleased with my mother's care over the past two years that she has been a resident in The Lodge.
The Lodge has a very homely feel and a lovely garden where garden parties for residents and their families are held.
The staff are very efficient, friendly and helpful and I feel that they make
a difficult situation, due to my mother's declining health, easier.
I would certainly recommend The Lodge.

Although this has a friendly atmosphere and the staff are equally friendly, I have found it extremely frustrating when trying to contact anyone.
The phones are not manned and it can be days before you manage to speak to someone.
On the whole, Mum is happy and has settled well but I do think there
are some aspects that could be improved.

My dear friend has resided at The Lodge since October 2019. At the present time her health has deteriorated very much, she is ninety-six. At all times the care she has received has been so kind and she has been contented with being looked after. The staff have always treated me with kindness and nothing
