My mum had been in hospital for a month and on leaving she was unable to walk anymore which meant she had to go into a care home as soon as possible . The staff at Little Brocklesby bent over backwards to accommodate mum at a very busy time of year . . Christmas ! I had been put in a stressful situation as mum had been sent home with carers in place but mum turned them all away which left me to deal with her for almost a week . Thankfully I had visited a few months prior and was so relieved they had a spare room . At first mum was unhappy about being in care , she has slight dementia but still knows what's going on . She's been there 8 months now and she has become very fond of some of the carers . All the carers I have met are really great . I visit regularly , the place is clean and tidy with lots of activities and visiting entertainers ! There's a big lounge with a great view of the grounds which are lovely with lots of trees . Lots of space so residents can have peace if needed .

The support they have given us as a family has also been incredible. Through what has been an incredibly difficult time, the staff have been there for us with kindness, understanding and compassion, and they have become like an extension of our family. We honestly don't believe we could have found a better home for Mum. Sadly, the Alzheimers progressed despite being on all the appropriate and timely medication and her last week was one of sleep, supported eating and drinking until the last two days, when sleep was the only requirement. The staff were so attentive throughout, anticipating every need. A wonderful care home with lovely people, who work as a totally integrated team.

Absolutely exceptional care for my mum who had Alzheimer's. She was quite feisty when she went to live at the home but the staff were not fazed and treated her with kindness and compassion. Within a few days she was happy staying there, joining in with the range of activities, eating well and she enjoyed the interactions with the staff and other residents. Even in her final days nothing was too much trouble and as a family we are so grateful for the time she was there and the level of care she received. Compared with other homes Little Brocklesby is five star.
