Overall Experience

During the last year of my mum's life she was a resident at Clarkson House. We knew it was the right place for her from the start as we were immediately greeted with enthusiasm and friendliness. I know she loved it there and said she felt comfortable, warm and safe. My mum was unable to get out of bed but the staff always made sure she was so well cared for and I know she had a lovely relationship with those who looked after her. The staff were always so friendly and welcoming to us when visiting and always kept us updated with everything that was happening. I have no doubt that my mum spent her last year in a lovely place, which has meant so much to myself and all of her family. Thank you so much to everyone at Clarkson House for this.

Excellent care provided by all staff, they are a real team and work proactively and professionally together. The staff all know mum well and take time to chat and understand how she's feeling, there's lots of laughs amongst the staff and resident's too. I'm very pleased mum got placed here as all our fears have been allayed - mum is in good hands and we know she's safe. She loves the home cooked foods , especially loving when "her favourite" is on the menu. The home has been lovingly renovated with many improvements in recent months, the external areas are fabulous since the new resin walkways and ramp have been installed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Clarkson House as they're second to none! Well done all!

Mum has resided at Clarkson House for 3 years. During this time the excellent staff/manager/owners have supported mum and family through many challenges whilst managing the many aspects of dementia. Staff have listened and provided individualised care to meet her needs with understanding, dignity and empathy.
The home has been refurbished to a high standard with the residents safety, comfort and needs in mind.
The home is welcoming and homely with a calm atmosphere, despite the staff being busy at times they always speak and acknowledge you when visiting.

The family always feel reassured mum is in safe hands in a lovely environment. Mum is happy and content and loves the food, so we know we chose the right home for her. Thank you everyone.

My mum is settled at Clarkson House and is well looked after. She feels safe and secure, the staff are all caring and she feels part of a community. The majority of the staff are proactive and have made real friendships with Mum. The carers all treat Mum with respect, consulting her and always doing what they can to make her feel useful - taking the time to chat and get to know her as an individual. The home has made lots of improvement since she moved in in Oct 2023 and the decor is lovely and modern.

One thing we struggled with before Mum moved into Clarkson House was her appetite - she absolutely loves the home-cooked food she has here and always enjoys every meal.

Thank you so much for the message - we are currently refurbishing and we appreciate you like the changes. We are training and developing staff all the time and we will continue to do so. The kitchen staff will be so pleased to get the 5* for the food. Thanks again.

My grandmother has been a resident of Clarkson House for almost a year now. I visit most weeks with my children and am always warmly greeted by all staff and residents. I am always pleased to see familiar staff members treating my grandma and other residents with respect, care and kindness. I regularly turn up in the middle of various sessions being put on for the residents, dance, aerobics and games. All residents seem happy and well looked after. I cannot fault the place.

The staff at Clarkson House are fabulous. They provide quality care. They are professional whilst adopting a caring manner. At times the staff are extremely busy dealing with a variety of care/medical needs but they always make time to listen to a relative's query/concern. The quality of the meals and menu choices available are excellent. I cannot thank them enough for the care they provide to my relative.

My mother-in-law moved into Clarkson House a couple of months ago. I could not be happier with the care she receives. She appears really happy and will say when I visit that the staff can't do enough for you.
It's lovely to see her smiling and knowing she is safe and well looked after, puts my mind at rest.

All I can say I appreciate all that you do at Clarkson House and thank you for being there for my mother-in-law.
