The Brambles Care Home took great care of our mother especially as her health declined. She was always grateful of her care and attention as were we. Staff were very attentive given limited resource on occasions.

The Brambles has provided mum with excellent care. Mum has settled in really well, entirely due to the caring environment and staff who are are extremely kind and thoughtful providing regular updates on how she is doing. The manager is kind and thoughtful and very approachable with it being clear that the best interests of residents is paramount. The finance staff are very approachable and answer any questions I may have. Certainly the Brambles was the best decision taken regarding the care of mum.

The meals and snacks provided have been excellent. Doctors visit on a Tuesday and it's easy to make an appointment to discuss my wife's state of Health and Medication and any concerns I have.
We have found any questions to Management are promptly answered and help given to complete forms etc.
The Carers are always on duty in the Lounge and Dining room and any one of them can answer questions relating to my wife.
The Brambles is a Safe and Secure home within a large countryside plot of land with parking.

I visit my wife each day. Fortunately she is happy at The Brambles and enjoys all her meals, always home-made food. Her medication is well taken care of and staff are vigilant in all medical care aspects (she was recently taken to hospital after a lump was detected in her breast, fortunately just a cyst which was easily drained). She cannot walk so is wheel-chair bound, but on fine days I take her out into the garden, or push her back to visit our house nearby or to a local park. Today a small group of us (4 residents, 3 in wheelchairs, plus staff and myself) visited a nearby village tea shop obviously beneficial for and enjoyed by all. Other activities and entertainments are also arranged by activities staff.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. We truly appreciate the time you have taken to share your experience. It is heartening to hear that your wife is happy at The Brambles, enjoying her meals, and receiving the care and attention she deserves. We are especially pleased that...
I don't often write reviews, this being the exception. Brambles was always welcoming. Staff very caring, considerate and treated Mum with respect and dignity. It is a clean home and does not have that 'old person's home' aroma. The food was well-prepared, plentiful and wholesome. We were kept up to date with Mum's condition on a regular basis and safeguarding was paramount. Her room was homely with its own ensuite and always tidy. We would not hesitate to recommend The Brambles Care Home.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience, especially as someone who doesn't often write reviews. Your kind words mean a great deal to all of us at The Brambles. I found the care home clean, and the staff were courteous, engaging and ready to support. From the door, they directed me to an appropriate place to sit and we discussed extensively about the residents and the needs, and this gave me ample information already. They supplied all the administrative and clinical information about the resident, and the medications chart. The resident appeared well looked after, and reflected this in my assessment also. That was helpful and the resident also happily contributed to this in my questioning. I see that the home is well-staffed and well-managed and that offers quality support in the manner of approach and this is well suitable for the resident's healthy living.
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We are pleased to hear that you found the home clean and the staff engaging and supportive. It's always encouraging to know that our team's efforts to provide a welcoming and well-organized environment are appreciated. We value the well-being of our residents...

I was concerned about putting my mum into a care home, and she has absolutely blossomed, chatting with all the staff and other residents. Her bed is always tidy, and the food suits her to bits. A big thank you to two particular staff members and to all the other staff who manage her care, it's been so well handled.
Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience with us. We're delighted to hear that your mum is thriving and enjoying her time here. It's wonderful to know she's comfortable, well-cared for, and engaging with both our staff and residents. We will pass on your kind words to the team. Your appreciation means a lot to us and motivates us to continue providing the best care possible.
My father lived in The Brambles Rest Home for eleven months and was happy and settled there. I appreciated the fact that you could visit the home at any time you wanted and this also gave me confidence in how the residents were being treated, as staff couldn't 'put on a show' for visitors. I feel there has been an improvement in the running of the home since a change of management a few months ago, the young deputy manager being particularly impressive. When Dad became critically ill, they looked after him so well and supported me during Dad's end-of-life process. In the early months of Dad's stay, I had a few issues but the management listened to my concerns and for the most part, they were resolved. The Brambles is not the swishest of care homes but the staff are caring and respectful and that is the most important criteria for me. Thank you to all involved in Dad's care, your kindness, patience and respectful treatment of him was a great comfort to me. Keep up the good work!
It is heartening to hear that you found comfort in our open visitation policy...
I can't thank the staff at The Brambles Rest Home enough, they went above and beyond to look after my mum. My mum went to Brambles in January 2023 with dementia, she was 90, from the first day she went in I knew I had no worries about her care, the staff treated her with dignity and respect, the staff always informed me if there was any change in Mum. Mum had her 91st birthday, the staff were amazing, a lovely cake was made for Mum with everyone singing Happy Birthday, Mum loved it. Mum became ill in November and had to go hospital, I was told she only had a few days, The Brambles let me take Mum back to the home where I spent five days with Mum before she passed away. The staff were amazing and not only looked after Mum but also helped me get through the last few days with Mum, I can't thank you enough for what you did for my mum.
Thank you so much for your lovely words and fantastic feedback. It's reviews like this that make it all worthwhile for us.
The management came to our home to assess Mum's capabilities at this stage of her dementia, they were with us for about an hour going through in detail all the requirements for the stay at The Brambles Rest Home - very professional with that friendly touch.
Mum moved in two days later, into a lovely en-suite room with a beautiful garden view. The team at The Brambles were both warm and welcoming. Also, what impressed me, they were all very smart in their uniforms.
Overall, I highly recommend The Brambles Rest Home at New Longton
We shall continue to try our best.
Mum has only been at The Brambles Rest Home for a short time but she has been shown exceptional kindness and individual care by all the staff. It was a difficult decision to move Mum to a home, in awful circumstances, but The Brambles team have done everything possible to ease the transition and make Mum and us feel welcome.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave the team at The Brambles your feedback. We are always proud of the services our team is able to provide, especially when, unfortunately, times can be a little more challenging than others. We are glad that Mum has settled in well with us and look...
The Brambles is situated in a quiet, rural location in pleasant grounds. Access and parking is good. It is a fairly modern home with purpose-designed facilities. The management and staff are kind, caring people who take good care of the residents in a dignified and respectful way. Visitors/relatives are made to feel very welcome. All food is prepared on the premises to a high standard. The home has a five-star hygiene rating. It is the best and most pleasant home I have visited.
Thank you for taking the time to leave our team at The Brambles your feedback. The team continues to work hard to provide the best possible services for all our residents and we appreciate when their efforts are noticed, along with how we always try to make our homes have that truly homely feel....
