Mum has dementia and has been living at The Brambles for about three months now. I (and my siblings and wider family) are very happy with the care Mum is receiving. The management and carers treat Mum with kindness and care and clearly want her to be comfortable, happy and safe. I am very happy that Mum is where she is and recommend The Brambles Rest Home, without reservation.
Thank you for taking the time to leave the team at The Brambles such a lovely message. We are always proud of the level of services our team is able to provide, however, it is much appreciated to have this form of feedback to share with the team. If you have any suggestions on how we can further...
My mother was cared for by the team at The Brambles from August - October 2022. She was well looked after at what was a difficult time for Mum. We as a family, would like to thank the management and staff for Mum's day-to-day care.
Hi, Many thanks for taking the time to post a review and for your kind words.
The home is lovely and bright and comfortable, set in lovely countryside. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My mother's room has an ensuite, so that was very important for me in picking a home for her; if it felt comfortable for me on the first visit, then it would be comfortable for my mother. She is very happy there and says that the food is really good and plenty of it. Went to a tea dance there, which she and myself enjoyed. Would definitely recommend it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave our team at The Brambles such a lovely review. We are really happy to see that Mum is happy with us and so glad that you both enjoyed our tea and dance afternoon! We will make sure to pass along your feedback to the team and we look forward to seeing you soon....
Excellent care home, my father and family are always made welcome. We have been kept informed of his progress by the caring friendly staff. The rooms are ensuite and comfortable. Thank you to the home manager for providing support to myself. Thank you to all the team for the excellent care shown to my father. Keep up the good care you provide.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review for our team at The Brambles. We are proud of the service our team is able to provide and how our management team is able to support them in doing so, your feedback is greatly appreciated. The Brambles Rest Home really is a special place. Every member of the team (management and staff) has been lovely and welcoming and really does care about Mum’s wellbeing. Mum has Alzheimer’s and the care and attention that has been given to Mum and the family has been very reassuring and comforting, as it was a very difficult decision to move Mum into a care home. The Brambles Rest Home is so homely and has a fabulous big lounge overlooking a beautiful lawn. All the meals are home-cooked and they have a lovely little community. Thanks to everyone for being so kind and caring and we are truly grateful for the excellent care every one of you gives to our Mum. Many thanks from all the family.
Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to leave our team at The Brambles with such a lovely review! We are so glad to hear how happy you, your family and Mum are with the service at The Brambles and are proud to be helping take care of Mum. Please never hesitate to reach out and we look forward to seeing you in the future!
My parents spent a week’s respite at The Brambles Rest Home and received excellent care and support from all the staff and management team. They thoroughly enjoyed the company of other residents at meal times and have come home feeling like they’ve had a lovely break. We have been able to relax knowing that both Mum and Dad were receiving the very best care. The Brambles provides a varied meal plan which both my parents enjoyed and the staff are very attentive to the resident's needs. Would definitely recommend and we will be booking more respite care in the future. Thank you to the manager and all staff.
Hi there and thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave us such a positive response. We are extremely proud to hear that your parents thoroughly enjoyed their time with us and that you were able to relax! We hope to see you in the future and in the meantime hope you and your family stay safe and well. Thank you again for your feedback and this will be passed over to the team.
My mother entered the home in the latter part of 2021 and stayed until she passed away in April 2022, aged 101 years. Throughout this period, she received excellent care. In particular, during the last weeks of her life, the care staff and management did all they could to make her comfortable. Carers often altered or amended shifts to sit with her, indicating that there was real, as opposed to token displays of care. When she passed away, my husband and I were treated with care and respect by both management and staff. A comforting experience at a difficult time for us.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave the team your feedback. Your Mother is greatly missed and we are all grateful for the time we were able to spend with her during her time with us at The Brambles. All at The Brambles send their best wishes to you and your family during this difficult time and thank you again for all of your positive feedback.
The Brambles is a first-class rest home with both management and workers who are some of the nicest people that I have met. My partner has Alzheimer's and around the carers, she feels comfortable and safe.
Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review for everyone in our team at The Brambles. The team greatly appreciates this feedback and are extremely proud to hear how settled your partner is with us.
My mum came home today saying she had enjoyed her stay at The Brambles and had been looked after well. She made friends with the other residents and staff. Good food, her room was lovely and she enjoyed the activities.
Thank you so much for the wonderful response. We appreciate your positive feedback and look forward to seeing you and your lovely mother again soon. Many thanks.
Mum has received good care since going to The Brambles, initially for assessment and then long term residential care. She has been well looked after and has settled well.
Thank you so much for your kind review. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your Mother's experience with us. The team work hard to make all our service user's settle in and feel at home, so we are really pleased to hear that your Mum is happy here.
Very helpful new home manager. All staff are good.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive review regarding The Brambles. The new management team are settling in well and are working very hard concerning all aspects of the home. Looking forward to seeing you soon and let us know if there is anything we can do for you.
My Aunt has been a resident of The Brambles for 3 months and has settled in extremely well, following a 3-week trial. It's a small home where the staff are extremely helpful and considerate. She now thinks of the Brambles as her home and regards the staff and other residents, as friends. She loves the food which is amazing - she is diabetic and hasn't until now really got pleasure out of eating! I am always welcomed as a visitor. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff have really got to know her. Covid restrictions are in place but to ensure that both the residents and staff are protected. These do change from time to time but for all the right reasons. It's in a great location, with wonderful views of the countryside across the very large gardens but is close to local shops in the village of New Longton. I'm able to take my Aunt to the local Methodist Chapel and Stickyweeds Cafe, both a short walk away. Based upon the experience with my Aunt, I'd definitely recommend The Brambles.
Hi there, Thank you so much from all of the team for such a lovely review! Thank you for taking the time to give us your positive feedback, it is much appreciated during these more challenging times and it helps the staff to feel even more appreciated. We look forward to seeing you soon and are extremely happy to know that your Aunt is so happy with us.
After reading poor press coverage from a couple of years ago, this home and their care has exceeded my expectations. The standards, care and service of this team in this challenging world we currently experience, deserves credibility. The commitment to get it right with passion, understanding of needs and personal care is delivered by the people working day in day out, guided by a solid management team. Thank you all.

My husband has only recently entered The Brambles. So far, we are happy with the care provided.
Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you are pleased with your husband's care so far. If there is anything we can do, please contact the home directly.
Excellent care and attention by the team. Nothing is too much trouble. The team ensure all are looked after so well. Always have a friendly face when you arrive, at any time of the day. They have managed the pandemic so well and deserve recognition for this.

Staff are happy to communicate when it is beneficial to them but I am still waiting for a reply from several weeks ago. While we know Covid has caused issues, demanding that family book pre-arranged times to visit is not always suitable for busy families - it is not always family-friendly.
We are sorry to hear you have not received a reply from several weeks ago, we now have a new home manager, who came into post three weeks ago, who would be more than happy to speak to you should you wish to get in touch. With regards to visiting and Covid, we only have certain areas where visiting...
It's clean and well looked after. Staff are nice.
Thank you for your kind comments, we are really pleased you like living at The Brambles and feel you are safe and well looked after.
Mum is very happy in the home although I would prefer her to be at home obviously. She is very well cared for and enjoys the company and the attention. The food is good and well presented. We are happy that she is safe and is clean and comfortable. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers and all the staff.
I am grateful for the staff and management for this.
I would definitely recommend the home.
