My friend is very happy in this care home, which I feel is the most important thing. Her dietary needs are adhered to and when I go to visit she is content and obviously well looked after. The activities offered are varied and well coordinated. All her needs are being met to a high standard.

I speak to my parents who have the capacity to talk for themselves and I have never had a reason for concern. I also speak to the staff and I can honestly say they are all worth their weight in gold. Yes the building is in need of updating but unless it has a massive cash injection then it will have
to be done gradually.

Exceptional staff and exceptional care at Croft House. The staff are very attentive and took care of mum's needs perfectly. Mum is always happy and content in trying circumstances for all the family. The amazing staff made her feel right at home immediately and she settled in brilliantly at Croft House
with new friends.

My mother was a resident at Croft House for 6 years, passing away aged 101 years. During that time, we as a family have been very happy with the care our mother received. Croft House has a family feel to it. The staff being genuinely fond of their residents. Mother loved all the entertainments the home
put on for the residents. Her final years were very happy ones. Well done Croft House!

Amazing staff and manager, I would highly recommend Croft House to anyone requiring care. Mum was not eating too well, but they adapted her diet and she has been putting on weight. There has always been great communication with the manager and staff, especially important over the lockdown period and
has kept me totally reassured over the lockdown.

Wonderful home!! They gave my mother a great new room overlooking the gardens. The care was A+ with very friendly and well-trained staff. I work abroad and I was very apprehensive about putting my mother in a care home but my mind has been put at rest after discussing with the manager and observing
the care that she is given there.

My grandmother has been a resident at Croft House for just over 2 months now. She first started to attend a couple of days a week in their day care facility and then became a full resident.
The staff are kind, supportive and give full attendance to her personal needs.
The addition of an entertainment
coordinator has been an excellent addition to their current well-qualified staff.
It seems nothing is too much for the people involved with Croft House and there has been much improvement in the fabric of the building and outside to the gardens and patio.
Great menus are produced by the chef and there is always tea and cakes available for visiting relatives.
I would thoroughly recommend the care home. It has made our lives much better as we are always assured that she is getting the best possible care in her later years.
Hats off to Croft House!!

My mother had a fall and was in hospital for a couple of weeks. We thought it was best if she stays in a care home until she feels comfortable going back home. She has now been there for over 3 months, she loves it!! She has all her physical and emotional needs met and really enjoys the big family homely
atmosphere at the home.
The room is lovely and she has brought some of her own stuff to make her feel more at home.
She has some good friends there now and enjoys the social interaction.
Lots of praise to the staff at Croft House for making the home feel alive!
A big thank you to everyone at Croft House.
Keep up the good work!!!

My mother stayed in Croft House for respite care whilst we were on holiday.
The staff were extremely friendly and professional, making us feel at complete ease whilst on holiday.
My mother loved the food and the different and varied menu and especially enjoyed the world food day like the Chinese night.
The
room was like a five-star hotel with new decor and furnishings.
She was keen to take part in the activities and especially enjoyed the music and dancing.
We could not have left her in a better place and felt fully reassured knowing she would be in good hands and well looked after.
Thank you.

My mum stayed here for just 12 nights. She did not enjoy being at Croft House and used to cry when I took her back after a day out. Apart from watching TV the only other activities on offer were having her hair done and seeing the foot man, there was no other stimulus and she spent most of her time
in her room. She did enjoy the food and the conservatory is the nicest part of the home. I have since moved her to another care home.

The staff at Croft House were wonderful with my mum who had a 2 week respite care stay in October 2016. This was the first time mum had been way from home and we were extremely worried that she would be unhappy and not settle but the friendly and caring staff and very friendly and warm feeling of the
home made her stay a happy one. Mum was relaxed and well cared for and we could relax for the first time in a long time. I would definitely recommend Croft House!

Current Review Score: 8.7 (8.710)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.7 (8.710) out of 10 for Croft House is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.778 for Croft House is calculated as follows: ( (28 Excellents x 5) + (8 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 4.778
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.932 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Croft House is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 22 registered maximum number of service users is 4.4. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 4.4 = 0.682
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
