My mother lived alone and had fallen a few times; my sister and I talked about residential care. After being in the hospital, it was discussed that Mum could no longer care for herself, a place was offered at Jalna. I immediately said yes, it was close to home. After speaking to the manager, she really
put me at ease. Mum is cared for by staff who care and are always polite and talk to her as the adult she is. Nothing is a trouble to them. Because of Covid, we have been unable to visit, so I have kept in contact by phone and have been able to speak to Mum; my sister rings from Australia and has been able to talk to Mum as well. When Mum is upset, the staff ring me, and we discuss what is the problem. I have nothing but praise for the manager and all the staff; they have supported not only Mum but the family as well. Thank you so much.

My mum arrived at Jalna in April on a discharge to assess the pathway after a three-week stay in hospital. On her first day, the staff did everything they could to ensure she settled in as quickly as possible. I was contacted about my mum's care plan and was able to discuss at length my mum's needs,
interests, dietary requirements etc. These were listened to and responded to appropriately. On the occasions, there have been concerns about mum these have been relayed to me quickly and in a professional solution-focused manner. I have been impressed with the support to change mum's GP and address issues with her medication which have been resolved and as a result, she is happier and less anxious. The staff are caring and are always available to talk on the phone. Mum has been able to enjoy a number of events e.g. tea parties and for her birthday there was a special party tea organised. Appointments with chiropodists etc have also been organised which has made mum more comfortable. Thank you.

My dad has been warmly welcomed by all staff members they have gone out of their way to ensure my dad is safe and well cared for. My dad has nothing but praise for all the staff. I have seen myself the genuine affection and quality care received. Nothing is too much trouble.

We cannot praise the staff and management of Jalna enough. Throughout our Mum's 11 months stay the staff were incredible they excelled in the way they dealt with her and us.
She was never very well during her stay but they made the last months of her life as positive as they could have been.
During
the last week of her life, her health declined dramatically but the love and devotion of the staff helped our Mum to retain her dignity to the end. They battled to keep her in the home and helped prevent her from spending her last days in a hospital miles away.
They were brilliant with us throughout and they could not do enough to help us.
We would recommend Jalna to anyone looking for a loving, caring care home for their loved ones.
Thank you very much.

Upon every visit the home is so warm and welcoming, the proprietors are approachable, open-hearted people who "truly care" about not just the residents but family members too. Staff are very caring, prompt when needed and always go above and beyond. We actually visited on a "resident baking day" family/visitors
welcomed to join in with the fun activities and the smiles on the resident's faces were literally priceless and the laughter contagious. Jalna residential home really does personalise care, highly recommended.
