Registered Manager of Redlands Care Home since 2021, Hazen has enjoyed a varied career, including being a manager for Edinburgh City Council, a driving instructor, in mental health and substance misuse and as a manager for Supported Living. Hazen enjoys helping residents and finds it rewarding to encourage their independence. He likes to get involved in activities at Redlands and enjoys going out in the community with the team and residents, where possible, providing a rich insight into both staff and residents’ strengths and weaknesses.

I have a good working relationship with both senior staff and care staff. " I have an open door policy so staff can approach me at any time. "

Sam is the Deputy Manager at Redlands and has worked there for 36 years. Sam enjoys working with a team that is very caring and supportive of each resident at Redlands. Sam reflects that as many of the clients at Redlands have enjoyed several years at the care home, they have witnessed her own children growing up and, in this way, Redlands feels like a big family. Sam is open to requests and encourages residents at Redlands to fulfil their interests, including trips to the local area.
