  • a) The Average Rating is 4.6 out of 5 from 8 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Wyndthorpe Hall & Court Care Home in Google's Search Results - more info

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Care Home / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Care Home receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.

    The Average Rating of 4.596 for Wyndthorpe Hall & Court Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (56 Excellents x 5) + (30 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 89 Ratings = 4.596

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Care Home to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?'

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.

    2. 1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.

    3. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

    1. 3 = 3

    2. Target of 8.8 positive Reviews (44 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 1 Reviews ÷ 8.8 Target = 0.114

This home is good in every way for my Grandmother. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff make her as comfortable as they could. I would recommend it to anyone who would like the best care treatment for their loved ones.

No matter what time of day any of our extended family arrive at the home we are treated with a welcome. The grounds are simply outstanding. The government should be ASHAMED of itself for blocking this type of care for our elderly with the outrageous claims that it is better for residents to stay in their own homes. My mother who has has seven children is now a widow and my parents worked all our lives and paid taxes. My mothers life expectancy has now increased with the care and company she now receives from the staff and other residents. We are a hard working family and with all the will in the world could not now give her the care she needs. We need more good homes not less. We thank you all for your commitment. Thank You. Thank You Thank You.

This is our third year, and have had no problems. We have had and enjoyed coffee mornings, Christmas parties with entertainment and various parties through the year, which mum enjoyed. She seems to be well looked after by friendly staff.

My father has been in this care home for the last six months. We chose Wyndthorpe Hall because of its closeness to where we live, from personal recommendation, and the visit we undertook prior to dad moving in. Every time, we are always made welcome, staff are always friendly and caring. The activities are excellent and dad gets great pleasure form them. If there is anything untoward they contact me immediately. From what I have seen everywhere is clean and dad always has clean clothes on and looks well kept. dad has put weight on since he came and from what I have seen the choice is varied and presented nicely.

Wynthorpe Hall provides a safe and secure home for my mum. The staff are all extremely caring, friendly and professional, ensuring that they know exactly what mums needs are and they look after her well. Activities provided for residents are varied and frequent, taking residents out in the community whenever possible. Mum has been to the pantomime and shopping before Christmas and she is 96 years old! Coffee mornings and parties that involve the relatives are common place. Any problems that may arise are dealt with promptly and discussions about medical care involve relatives at all stages.

We are very satisfied with all aspects of the home and staff. The only problem we have had is with the laundry side, sometimes he has no socks or handkerchiefs.
