The home provides a high quality of care and support to my mum. The staff are kind and treat my mum as a family member. The environment is homely and does not feel like an institution. The staff are invested in the care of all of the residents and know them well so that they are well placed to notice
quickly if they become unwell and respond promptly. The home has a great team of regular staff which is important for residents living with dementia. The staff are very welcoming and communicate well with relatives.

Mum has been at Taptonholme since 2021 and has received excellent care. The staff show professionalism along with kindness and empathy and communication is good. The home is clean and has a very homely atmosphere. The home also has a beautiful garden.

My mum is 88 and has Alzheimer's. She has been living at Taptonholme since July. I have been so pleased with the care that she has received. The staff are amazing! Caring, compassionate, friendly, cheerful and so helpful. The care home itself is a beautiful Victorian house. It is spotlessly clean, and
the residents have homemade meals every day. It feels more like a big family. The staff know all the residents well and are aware of their individual needs. They are all treated with respect and dignity. Visitors are always made welcome. My dad visits nearly every day and they treat him like one of the family too. Mum has a lovely room and most importantly she is happy! I am so pleased we chose Taptonholme and highly recommend it.

Mum has been at Taptonholme well over 18 months now. She likes it there and says so - which is praise indeed from her! The staff are attentive and caring in all aspects of her life there. Extra services such as hairdressing and chiropody are available. You can visit as often as you want and get updates
from a phone call or social media. I am happy that she is in the right place.

My Mum has been a resident at Taptonholme for about 7 weeks due to her worsening Alzheimer's disease. The care and attention she has received in this time is exceptional. The staff have made the difficult transition from living at home to being in a care home for her, so much easier than I imagined.
They go above and beyond to keep her happy and well. The staff have also been a great support to me during this time. The staff are caring, friendly and professional. My Grandma was also a very happy, contented resident at Taptonholme over 10 years ago. Some of the staff are still the same as when she was living there, which is another testament to how great the place is. Thanks for everything x

My 92-year old Mum moved into Taptonholme in November 2024, when she could no longer live independently in her own home. My wife and I had viewed a number of care homes before Taptonholme but we both knew immediately when we arrived that this was the right home for my Mum. The home is immaculately
clean, full of character with a real sense of love, care and dignity throughout. The member of staff who showed us round was so welcoming and friendly, answering all our questions. My Mum then had a day-care stay so I could see how the home would meet her care needs; she clearly settled in and felt safe and cared for straight away. I was fortunate that a room was available and I was able to secure this a few days later as I knew I had found the right home for Mum. I can wholeheartedly recommend Taptonholme, my Mum has a wonderful room, is happy in a friendly environment receiving first-class care and support from all the wonderful caring staff. We feel so lucky to have Mum settled here.

My 96 year old mother-in-law has been a resident in Taptonholme since November 2024. She settled in really quickly due to the kind, caring and compassionate team who work there. The environment is warm, welcoming and very homely. The staff are respectful of my mother-in-laws wishes. Nothing is too much
trouble and there is a genuine family atmosphere.

My Mum has been at Taptonholme for a few days over Christmas. She can't manage the stairs at our house and Taptonholme was ideal for somewhere to sleep and have breakfast. All the staff were superb. They were friendly and caring. Very considerate. Mum's room was ideal. It was clean and bright. I was
pleased there wasn't a minimum time to stay for respite and Taptonholme couldn't have been more accommodating to my needs and my Mum's.

My nan is currently at Taptonholme, she hasn't been there long but we can already see the difference in her, she is back to being her happy smiling self. The home is beautiful, homely and very clean, all the staff are amazing they interact with all the residents and do activities with them giving them

Taptonholme is my mother's fourth home in ten months. Sent to an NHS rehab home after a fall, and then had to move to a secure home from the one we had settled her in, she was not happy. Once off opioids, she was her old self (prescribed after her pelvic break) and needed company as much as care - we
moved her to Taptonholme in May, and it was immediately her "home" in her eyes. She loves her room and is very settled. The staff have been amazing with both my mother and the family, and we couldn't ask for a better place for my 98-year-old mum to spend her last years. She is better cared for physically than in the previous home and is helped and encouraged to maintain independence. She also has people chatting with her every day.

Taptonholme is very clean and well-run. All the staff I've come into contact with are extremely caring and friendly.
My mother hasn't been in the care home for long but has received excellent care and as far as I can see has been treated with great dignity and respect.
Activities are available if
required and the garden area is lovely to sit in during the summer months.
Thank you to all the staff for making a stressful situation a lot easier to handle. I don't think we could have found a better care home.

Everyone at Taptonholme gave Mum an enormous amount of love, care, and affection throughout the 5 ½ years she was there. It was clear from the very first days that it was more than just a job and a place of work for them. And it wasn't just Mum who benefited from that love, care and affection - we did
as well, as they helped us to navigate and understand our journey through her illness. Like most people, when Mum was diagnosed with her illness, our knowledge and understanding of Alzheimer's was limited. But with the help of everyone at Taptonholme and the various books we found on the subject, we quickly became more knowledgeable. And so, it felt as if they were part of our extended family who we will certainly miss during our regular visits, although we hope to see them again during their fundraising events. A very big and heartfelt thank you to everyone who works there. We couldn't have wished for a better place for Mum to spend her final years. Thank you.

Having looked around extensively for the right place for my mum to move to, we were delighted to discover Taptonholme. As soon as we walked in, we knew it would be the right place. Small and friendly, with the atmosphere of an extended family, Taptonholme is an attractive, welcoming residential home
that provides personalised care and support, catering for people with a variety of needs, including dementia. My mum has been treated with respect, dignity and good humour. I am so grateful to all the staff there for their hard work and care for my mum: thank you.

My godmother was 100 years old and lived at Taptonholme for 5 years. Her end-of-life care was excellent and I cannot thank the staff enough for all they have done. Staff are friendly and caring and have become like extended family. I would highly recommend Taptonholme to any prospective clients. You

Mum admitted for respite, but care so good we decided to let her stay.
Covid restrictions have meant that visiting is not as easy, but visits have always been accommodated. Safety of patients is very reassuring.
Excellent care is given. Encourage independence and due respect given.

My mum moved into Taptonholme during the Covid pandemic in Sept 2020. She settled in really quickly and was soon at home. Taptonholme is a small, friendly and well-run home that feels more like a family-run hotel/Bnb. The staff clearly know all the residents extremely well and offer very personalised
care and support. It's lovely to see that my mum is so happy, safe and well cared for. She has also been involved in various stimulating activities providing much needed social contact.
This has been a very challenging time for staff, residents and their families but communication with the home has been excellent. The staff have been amazing and treat the residents with patience, care, dignity, respect and unfailing good humour. They have facilitated a range of visiting options to support/maintain contact with loved ones whilst keeping everyone safe. Nothing is too much trouble and I'm always made to feel welcome.
