Following a period of change after a disappointing inspection, there has been a noticeable tightening up of certain policies and procedures which is good.
The staff have always been excellent and are all very caring and patient with the residents. All staff members and management are very approachable
and friendly, creating a welcoming environment.
Recent initiatives have been to provide a greater range of activities for the residents and also the implementation of designated staff 'champions' for the subjects of Dignity, Safeguarding, Dementia and End of Life.

Job Title: Registered Manager

10 years care experience, starting as a carer working in the community and in care home settings. I spent 3 years working with advanced and challenging dementia, studying how dementia affects individuals and learning ways to support those affected to live well with dementia, support and enhance their wellbeing and promote their independence and choice as far as is practical to do so.

I have completed the Level 5 diploma in Leadership & Management within Health & Social Care. I also completed training in teaching and delivery of various health and social care courses that enables care staff to have the required qualifications to deliver person-centred care

I joined Abbey Village in January 2024, and I am proud to manage this service taking care of some wonderful individuals and working with a fantastic supportive team.

My goal- To drive standards of care ever higher and to forge robust relationships with the community and our health providers, ensuring only the best for each and every resident in our care.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

I have worked in the care sector for 8 years, learning about different conditions, thanks to a varied environment within the positions i have worked in, both community based and in residential and nursing settings.

I have completed a Level 3 diploma in Health and Social care, with the aim to complete my Level 5 in the near future.

I joined Abbey Village in September 2024, with a mission to support the manager and the company to provide excellent care and to support care staff to develop their skills and knowledge.

I recently completed a course to train staff in Moving and Handling, which also gives me the tools I need to drive up the support we offer when assisting individuals to be mobile and comfortable.
