View Full Details of Abbey VillageMy dad came for respite. The staff are very caring and fuss over dad which he loves. Louise the manager listens to all our concerns. The food is lovely also. His room is lovely, warm and comfortable. My dad enjoys taking part in activities
Louise (the Manager) is the most supportive Manager I have ever spoken to. She listens and sorts out all our concerns regarding my Dad and answers everything we ask of her. I'm always happy to approach her and she always finds time to speak to us should we need her. Both herself and her staff care for my Dad exceptionally well and he is happy being at Abbey Village. All staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the care my Dad needs and they treat him like they would their own family. He has lovely meals made fresh which he thoroughly enjoys and they treat my dad with respect and compassion. Thank you to a great team of staff - we are eternally grateful for you support and care.
When my grandmother first came to Abbey Village, we were shocked with how terribly ran it was, the previous manager ran the home into the ground and how unmanaged and unsafe the home was for residents. Under the new manager Louise we have seen the home grow into a happy and safe place to be, my grandmother is happy, healthy and safe. Thank you Louise for giving all the residents the dignity and happiness they deserve in their later lives, and thank you for giving us peace of mind that my grandmother is loved and cared for by you and your entire team, I would now recommend this home and feel confident that my grandmother will continue to be happy in your care.
Following a period of change after a disappointing inspection, there has been a noticeable tightening up of certain policies and procedures which is good. The staff have always been excellent and are all very caring and patient with the residents. All staff members and management are very approachable and friendly, creating a welcoming environment. Recent initiatives have been to provide a greater range of activities for the residents and also the implementation of designated staff 'champions' for the subjects of Dignity, Safeguarding, Dementia and End of Life.
