The welcome from the staff towards myself and my grandson is outstanding and warm and when it was my brothers 60th birthday the staff went all out to make this a special day for Mark and the overall care he receives is amazing and I cannot fault the staff and the place
Thank you for this lovely review, I will share your kind words with the team.
My sister is always well presented & clean her room is kept to a high standard also
Since being placed here she has been very settled & happy , & content
Thank you for your kind words, which I will share with the team.
My wife has been a resident of Elpha Lodge for several years now. I have always found the care and dedication of the staff excellent. They have created a home for my wife in which she is happy and contented to be in. This is of great comfort to me. As well as looking after my wife, the home is very very welcoming to both me and our family. We are made to feel welcome to visit her whenever it suits our circumstances. I too feel a part of the home, not just my wife. This is hugely important as its become a large part of my life, and will continue to be so in future. The atmosphere they create for us is homely, relaxed and caring. Looking at the medical side of the home, I'm confident that any issues my wife has are dealt with promptly and professionally. The expertise of in-house staff, and the use of the local health service professionals when required, is good. I feel my wife is well cared for. I'm pleased to have such a home close to where we live so my wife is still close at hand.
Thank you for your fabulous review. It is extremely important to us that relatives feel like 'part of the family'.
My brother has been a resident of Elpha Lodge for many years now and they have always cared for his welfare and provided him with a warm safe environment and good meals. The manager is always available to discuss anything if needed.
Thank you for your kind comments which will be shared with the team
Staff are always very friendly and welcoming. Communication from the manager and her colleagues is outstanding.
Thank you so much for this glowing review which will be shared with the team.
My son is Downs Dementia and now suffers from paralysis and blindness as the signals from the brain have stopped signalling, he is uncommunitive and doesn't know us anymore .
The care and professionalism of staff at Elpha Lodge is second to none, Jackie the manageress keeps me informed on everything thats happening with Stephen and sends me photos of him engaging in the activities which warms my heart, I felt really guilty of having to put Stephen into care but now I'm so relieved about the staff and their kindness to him.
What I really like is even though Stephen doesn't know what's going on they always include him , he isn't shut away in his room he has plenty of company and interactions with other clients.
I thank all the management and Staff truly happy with all my sons care
Thank you so much for your lovely review. Stephen is a pleasure to look after.
He has a lovely spacious room with his own private bathroom with plenty of space to negotiate his disabilities, I couldn't wish for him to be in a better place and I hope that if my circumstances require 24 hour care I get to go somewhere like here.
My brother's needs are catered for, if he's poorly it has been noted straight away and the staff are quick to seek medical attention, taking him to appointments all over the north east. My brother has a good relationship with all the staff, including the cleaners who pop in and pass the time of day with him, which is lovely because his visits from friends and family have slowly dwindled. My brother particularly likes the food, all home cooked and a wide variety on offer.
Thank you so much Christine for your lovely review.
