Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My mum was a resident for six-and-a-half months until her death in August. I visited her nearly every day, perhaps 180 times, not always at the same time so experienced all staff shift pattern combinations. I am a retired General Manager and I don't believe in 10/10. That said, I cannot praise highly
enough Glanmorfa Care Home. From the owner, through to senior management, senior carers, carers and staff, their dedication, consideration, tolerance and kindness to Mum and me have been exemplary. Mum had already deteriorated to a point well beyond our ability to look after her.
Based on our experience I can thoroughly recommend Glanmorfa and will remain an unofficial ambassador for them for the rest of my days. I will miss the Glanmorfa family.

Hi John, thank you for your kind words. All the staff played their part in caring for your mother and were very sad when she passed away. To see their hard work and dedication recognised is heartwarming and I will pass your comments on to them all. While it must have been hard on you and your family to have your mother placed in a care home you always had a smile on your face when you came to visit her.
You will always be welcomed at the care home and please feel free to drop in and see us anytime (bring your own coffee).

My husband has just completed a Respite stay in this lovely Care Home (Feb 21). Staff were extremely caring, the food was fabulous and the Staff went to great lengths to supply Gluten-free food for my husband. He really enjoyed his time at Glanmorfa and is looking forward to another stay. We would
both like to say a huge thank you to all the Carers and Staff for providing a fabulous experience for my husband. He came back and he is happier than I have seen him in a long while. Nothing was too much trouble, if he had a problem it was sorted by the Staff, their care was exemplary. Our sincere thanks to you all.

My wife has been living at Glanmorfa Care Home for almost a year. The staff are amazing. They are so caring and supportive, that she loves her life there - and has made exceptional progress in her abilities (largely as a result of support and encouragement by the staff).
They also, take great care
to meet her medical needs - monitoring her closely and bringing in medical staff whenever needed.
The home itself is pleasant and attractive, and residents are encouraged to spend as much time as possible mixing with staff and other residents. It is a terrific care home. I am extremely impressed and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Visited a friend here for a while. I found the home very depressing, to say the least, with some residents shouting for a long time but who were ignored. Needless to say, I won't be visiting again. It felt more like an institution. Care of residents?

Glanmorfa Care Home, what can I say?
What a fantastic place.
My Grandfather was a resident here from June 2017 to March 2019 and the care he received was second to none.
From the day he arrived to the day he passed away there, the support we had as a family was incredible. He was treated like family
by all the staff and with complete dignity. I felt like everyone loved him as one of their own. To have total peace of mind that your loved one is being cared for is such an incredible feeling when you were initially so apprehensive about care being provided by someone else.
The girls are so hands-on and cannot do enough for the residents as well as their families. I don’t think we have ever felt so welcome anywhere and we have made some fantastic friends.
There are too many staff to name but they just went above and beyond in what they did for my Grandfather and the manager was such a fantastic support to us all.
Thank you for all you have done, we will never forget it.

My Mother was in care at Glanmorfa for nearly 2 years and though her Dementia was severe to the point where she could not do anything for herself or communicate, I know she couldn't have been happier. The staff are friendly, supportive and helpful and show a unique personal care that I was unable to
provide. They are Welsh speaking also as my mother had a strong Welsh background and would revert to that if anxious or stressed due to her condition. The home is cosy and well equipped with all sorts of lifting equipment and special needs seating and the diets are varied and nutritious.
