Overall Experience
The staff at Foxtroy are wonderful , friendly , compassionate , kind , polite , understanding and respectful .They are like family to my mother- in -law . They show an interest in her well-being, and engage in friendly conversation.
The staff also care about the welfare of visiting relatives , which is highly commendable and much appreciated .
I am contacted via telephone or advised in person where there are any health concerns and where Improvements have been made. .
My mother-in-laws room is very clean , her clothes are labelled and well organised in the wardrobe and dresser .
Garden areas are so lovely . Both are filled with flowers , colourful ornaments and seating areas. We have enjoyed tea , biscuits and cake in the front garden and lovely conversations with residents . Activities are varied and fun . The activities coordinator clearly loves her role and truly cares about her residents wellbeing.

Regular meetings are held to update families and obtain feedback .

I often come to find fay in the same outfit, or in clothes that have food spilled on them, or clothes that are totally inappropriate for the temperature or weather, like a wooly jumper in on a day where it is 25 degrees. It is disappointing the staff haven't taken the time to get to know what fay was like before her illness and what she would like to wear, I have tried to encourage the staff to dress her in clothes she would be comfortable in but also that she would feel happy in were she of sound mind as I do believe this is in the realm of preserving dignity and fay would hate to know she was receiving visitors in discoloured, stained tracksuit bottoms. I have since removed these from her room. I also feel the staff could do more to inform us of the progression of her illness prior to taking her out as I have been caught out with no resources to deal with a double incontinence issue I was not made aware of prior to leaving the premises, again, a preservation of dignity issue.

My father has been very well cared for since moving into Foxtroy.
The staff are kind, caring and always quick to respond to any health concerns, especially when he has chest infections. They manage his dementia and COPD very well, which gives us great peace of mind knowing he is in safe hands.
He is always clean, well dressed and treated with dignity and respect.

As a family, we really appreciate the care, kindness and support he receives every day. Thank you to all the staff for everything you do.

The staff at Foxtroy provide excellent care and support to my relative. It's a very clean and welcoming environment and any requests I have made have been dealt with in a timely manner. I have had a meal with my relative at Foxtroy which was delicious made with quality ingredients. Often when I visit they have a good range of activities for the residents which they enjoy and I am made welcome and join in.

Keep up the excellent work

Foxtroy House provides my mother with truly first-class care. Leaving her own home was a daunting and emotional time, but the wonderful staff made the transition so much easier with their empathy, professionalism, and genuine kindness. She has settled in incredibly well and now considers many of the staff to be friends.

The management team has brought structure, stability, and continuity, which has only strengthened the overall standard of care. Staff are always willing to listen to residents and their families, and they work hard to ensure positive outcomes for everyone.

I would recommend Foxtroy House without hesitation.
