Llys Gwyn House is a bilingual family run home since 1985. The family and staff take great pride in their work, having all been involved in the provision of care for over 23 years. The Directors, Management and staff team have worked together, striving to maintain the family oriented nature of Llys Gwyn House. This is because they perceive this atmosphere conducive to provide a better service. Small care homes can offer people the opportunity to live an everyday lifestyle but with the care and support needed by each individual. The Directors and Management have experienced many changes in the aspect of care for the elderly and have endeavoured to continue with their education to provide a quality service. They have encouraged staff training and have seen motivated staff continuing to achieve good standards in the qualifications. Experience has taught them that not only are the individual needs and care of service users the paramount consideration for their welfare, a fact now recognised of course, by the requirements for the planning and preparation of individual support plans, but that is equally important to identify and make allowances for the idiosyncrasies of each one. They accept and encourage extensive Assessments prior to residency. The Service User is encouraged to visit as many times as possible prior to occupancy. They regret that they cannot offer residency ‘for life’ but will continue to reassess the care package for as long as they are able to ensure high quality care of the type required.
