The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.
If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.

My mother was admitted into Ty Iscoed when she was unable to care for herself and after several falls at her home. She also suffered giddy spells and memory loss. Mam also had wounds on both legs which were not healing. This was in April 2016. Although this home has little in the way of mod-cons it more than made up for this with the care, affection and love Mam was given. My mother who passed away on the 18th March this year received all this love and commitment from dedicated staff at Ty Iscoed. The dignity and respect given to her was exceptional. Doctors and district nurses are also to be commended for their continuous medical attention to mam legs.
I cannot praise Ty Iscoed enough for the devotion, care and love Mam was given during her stay. My sincere thanks to you all and in particular the managers for making Mams stay happy and contented one.
In finishing, may I also express my sincere thanks to everyone for the kindness and professionalism shown to me.
