Oxton House Reviews (8)
Over all time Oxton House has 8 reviews.
My mum was very resistant to going into Oxton House for respite. She was there for ten days, and when I went to take her home, she didn't want to leave. My mum said the staff all looked after her really well (spoiled her even). After the ten days came to an end, my mum was walking upright, lifting her feet, so alive and eating like a horse. The only thing she wasn't keen on was the baby tea. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at Oxton House for making a very difficult time such a pleasant and positive experience.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. I and all of the team at Oxton House are delighted to read such lovely words.
Dad said the choice of food at meal times is good and tasty, and the kitchen does try to vary the menu.
Our dad loves karaoke and themed parties.
The safety of our dad is paramount, and when his nighttime bed alarm broke, a new one was put on his bed instantly, I cannot fault the care and attention our dad has received since he moved it.
I am very happy with all the staff and how they treat my family member, but also with everyone who visits. They make all the residents happy when it comes to different celebrations, and that is done by the staff and any voluntary contributions they receive.
Well done to the managers and all the staff.
Our dad is a resident in Oxton House, he is well looked after, and the staff are super friendly and competent in their work. He has been there for a year now and is extremely happy. The food he receives is of a great standard, and benefiting from it. His room is kept clean at all times. The staff are all great, and we are on first names terms now.
My brother has been here for 10+ years, and in all that time, I have been very happy with the care provided by management and all staff.
Excellent facility, warn and friendly staff who look after resident well, going that extra mile if there is a birthday or similar. Always available to provide words and keep us informed.
My mother has been staying at Oxton House for the past two years. During this time, she has been very happy staying in the home and has had nothing but praise for the staff there. We have found the staff to be excellent also - which was a great comfort to us, as a family, during the pandemic. Mum enjoys the organised activities - particularly the "sing-songs" and themed activities eg Halloween. She also enjoys the food, which is prepared to a high standard. Her rooms, although on the small side, is always kept spotlessly clean and tidy, as are her ensuite bathroom facilities.
My daughter was the podiatrist for Oxton House for many years. She recommended it when my relative had to go into care. In her opinion, the standard of care was excellent. The turnover of the staff is very low. Most of the staff had been there for years.
