My wife has had the very best care in this home. Could not be believed anywhere.
I would highly recommend Abbotsford House. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how warm and welcoming it is - every member of staff is genuinely friendly and caring, not just to the residents but to visitors too. My grandpa has access to a great range of activities, and I love that the home shares photos and videos of these throughout the week, which brightens my day! What stands out most is how calm and relaxed the whole atmosphere is. Whenever I leave after a visit, I feel completely at ease knowing he's in such good hands. Thank you to the whole team for the care and attention you give to all residents.
A welcoming place with a fabulous caring team. My mother moved to Abbotsford House a few years ago and has always been treated with respect and care. I am so grateful to this team of nursing, therapy and catering staff. They work together with an amazing manager to provide the highest care to every resident there. Emma, the activities coordinator, makes sure there are entertainers and arts each week. The residents love it! A beautiful home from home.
Thank you for your lovely review. It is our pleasure to care for your Mum.
Best wishes

Always a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at Abbotsford. There are always activities, entertainment and stimulation, e.g., appropriate films, documentaries, and music on TV. The activities coordinator is excellent. The nurse in charge always makes contact if there are any issues or concerns about mum's care. The house is always warm and homely, nicely decorated and very comfortable.
Thank you for your comments and scores we will take them on board. If you would like to discuss anything further please discuss with our manager.
Best wishes

Our father has been a resident at Abbotsford House for over six months. As a family, we are delighted with the atmosphere of the home and the level of care provided. Staff are friendly and approachable, and our father is clearly happy and well supported.
Completely happy with the care provided to our Mother. Professional and helpful care staff look after her very well and keep us fully updated on her progress. They have created a homely environment which she seems to enjoy.
Thank you for your lovely review it is our pleasure to care for you mother.

Kishan Aldridge and The Abbotsford House Team
My mother was admitted to Abbotsford House over a year ago and I am very pleased with her care. She is early always well dressed and clean, she seems calm and content, unless unwell and the staff work extremely hard to help all the residents and follow personalised care plans if there is anything concerning me. The nursing staff are wonderful and approachable and very quick to respond and resolve any issues. my father also received palliative care in Abbotsford House which was wonderful.
Thank you for your lovely review. Best wishes
It's such a beautiful environment too with the lovely, well maintained mature grounds and the impressive, clean and fresh interior.
Mum has been at Abbotsford House for a couple of years now and is so at home.
Dear Karen, Thank you for your lovely review. It is our pleasure to look after your Mum. Look forward to seeing you at one of our Summer events. Best wishes
There are a lot of good care homes and Abbotsford House has proven to us to be among the best. Our father has been a guest for over a year and the care could not have been better. In our case there was a difficult family matter that made the situation extremely difficult. In such sensitive circumstances you can see what separates the good care homes from the excellent care homes. For us Abbotsford House has proven to be nothing less than excellent. The personnel is extremely professional and caring. The manager has been a life saver for us several times. We can only recommend Abbotsford House if you are really looking for the absolute best care house in the Glasgow area.
Dear Dennis, I really appreciate your wonderful review. We are fortunate to have a very kind staff dedicated to ensuring all residents and families are supported and treated with dignity and respect. I will share your lovely words with them. Best wishes
My brother was in Abbotsford House for the last few months of his life. His care was exemplary. The staff were always courteous and extremely caring. They often went above and beyond what was expected of them. Their patience, understanding and respect made my brother's final days as comfortable as was possible. Our family is very grateful to all at Abbotsford House.
Mum has settled in well thanks to the caring environment. It's good to know that she is being well looked after and her needs are being catered for. Thanks to the staff she is very well looked after and enjoying the company/activities which she is able to participate in.
Any medical issues are dealt with swiftly by a local visiting doctor who always calls with updates after each visit. Staff too continually keep relatives informed of any changes or concerns.
The catering is first class with something to suit all appetites. All residents are kept busy and never bored with all the planned events which occur daily from exercises after breakfast to visiting opera singers to local children singing, seasonal movies to petting dogs.
The individual accommodation is comfortable and bright and cosy with enough space to suit anyone.
Abbotsford House is immaculate and tastefully decorated throughout with lovely fenced gardens to either side of the building for residents' use when weather permits. I would highly recommend this care home to anyone I know.
My aunt has now been resident in Abbotsford House for five months. She has settled in and is very happy having made new friends amongst the residents and experiencing the high standards of care provided by the whole team. She enjoys participating in organised activities and the fact that there is always something going on. She's very sociable and Abbotsford staff have given her a new lease of life! It's a great relief to our family to see her so cheerful and to know that she is well cared for. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful. Monthly care reviews are carried out and the family are kept informed of care plans. I would highly recommend Abbotsford for its homely environment and caring staff.
Kind regards, Kishan Victoria Aldridge
We are very happy with the care provided for our mother. She is settled and content; her hygiene needs are met, and she is well turned out. Monthly review meetings ensure that we are regularly updated on mum’s care plan. Staff members have developed a warm and caring relationship with Mum and have also made family members feel welcome.
From the initial contact made by Abbotsford House to myself, I was thankfully helped and guided through the care home process, which is daunting for anyone who has never been through it before. My dad has only been a resident for a month but has settled very well, is happy and receiving excellent care and attention from all members of the care team. We do not live local to the home; however, the staff have been very accommodating and keep us updated. The home setting is peaceful and rural, and Dad’s room looks onto the well-kept gardens. We love the fact that the chef visited Dad to find out his favourite food and his taste likes and dislikes, and afternoons also include home-baking treats! Every member of the care team has been very friendly and engaging with visitors. We are very happy with our care home decision. Dad is not able to participate in activities at the moment, so I cannot comment on this.
I visit Abbotsford most days. The staff are incredibly hard-working but they always find time for a friendly word or chat if needed. Their caring skills and behaviour are at a high level and the residents seem well cared for and content. The house is very clean and well looked after, the food is very acceptable and overall there is a good homely feel. As someone with responsibility for an elderly person, I place a high value on the willingness and ability of staff to communicate comfortably.
Thank you very much for taking the time to give us your positive feedback. The staff work hard to provide everyone with an excellent experience. It is our pleasure to care for your friend. Hope to see you soon.
My father is well looked after. We get regular updates on his care and health. The home has lovely gardens to sit in. There is a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Staff are friendly. My father is happy with the food and the activities such as dominoes.
Thank you very much for your lovely review. It is our pleasure to look after your father. He has a great optimistic outlook and engages well with fellow residents and staff especially when dominoes are involved! The staff also always enjoy interacting and catching up with your Mum and you while visiting. Hope to see you soon. Kind regards Kishan.
The staff have been continuously accommodating to my family. My mum and her siblings do not live near and the staff are very understanding that we want to see them most days we are over. The staff have kept us well looped in with what is going on with my grandparents which is really important.
Thank you for your review. It has been our pleasure to look after your Grandparents and get to know your Mum and family. Kind regards.
My aunt has been in respite care here for three weeks with a view to staying long-term. The care has been outstanding to both my aunt and the rest of the family. All staff from cleaning staff to the manager have been so helpful and kind in helping us through this difficult time. We know that our aunt is safe and well cared for which takes a lot of stress away from us.
Dear Julie, thank you for your lovely review it’s been a pleasure getting to know your aunt and uncle. We have appointed three further well-being and activities coordinators. In addition we have 4 Occupational Therapy students starting placement with us in May. Our plan is to have two OT students...
