Elena came from Romania, her biggest dream was to become a nurse and work in the UK and wear the “Navy Blue” uniform. She loves looking after elderly people, one of the reasons being she never got to know her grandparents. She Joined Beechgrove in 2019 and hopes her passion, skills and friendly demeanour make a real difference in our residents’ lives. Elena accepted the Deputy Managers post in January 2020 giving her a new challenge and career path within the care sector. She continues to develop her knowledge and skills to ensure the best possible care and environment for our residents. Elena took over the Home Manager role in August 2024 having the same mindset of making sure the delivery of quality and person-centred care of our residents is maintained at high standards.
Carol joined our team in January 2012, she has had many years’ experience in accounts and admin. Families can find it a daunting experience when a loved one is admitted to a care home and welcome the time that Carol takes to explain the financial side of this. Carol works closely with social work managing enquires and availability, she is also involved with recruitment, training, staff files and much more. Carol will also support staff wherever she is needed and enjoys making sure that the residents are happy and settled in their new environment.
Kyle started as a Receptionist in April 2023, she greets all visitors with her smile and outgoing personality.
She has many years of experience in the care home environment and enjoys all aspects of her role including supporting care staff when needed.
Allison was the very first nurse here at Beechgrove when it first opened in 2006. Alison has been a nurse for 32 years she is dedicated to the care of our residents, making sure their individual care needs are met.
Mary started her nursing career in Paediatrics and has now come full circle she has been caring for the elderly for many years, being at Beechgrove for the last eight. Mary is a kind, caring and dedicated individual, the nursing care she provides to her residents is totally focused on their health and wellbeing and is carried out with complete dignity and respect.
Linda started working here at Beechgrove in 2012. Linda has 27 years of experience as a nurse and has many years of experience in adult nursing. It’s important to her to ensure our residents are treated with dignity and respect when all care needs are being delivered.
Wendy has been in caring for 26 years, she was one of the first employees when Beechgrove opened in 2006. Wendy is compassionate about her job and the needs of her residents going out of her way to ensure they have everything they need to improve and maintain their independence within the home.
With over forty years of experience in the care sector, Hazel has been a Senior Carer with us for the past eight years. She is a great role model to new staff and is happy to lead by example to promote the highest standards within our home. Hazel is also passionate about teaching and has taken on the new role of Moving & Handling trainer here at Beechgrove.
Leaann came to Beechgrove 15 years ago after the birth of her son although she has been in caring for over 23 years. She has an SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care. Leaann is passionate about her role and enjoys providing the best possible care for her residents. Leaann was delighted to now be a Senior Carer since September 2022
Jeannie began in Beechgrove as a Domestic Assistant in 2015. After several years doing this she was keen to move over to the caring side of the job. She started her new role as Care Assistant in 2017. Completed her SVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care. Jeannie was promoted to Senior Carer in December 2021.
Lynsey began work in Beechgrove Care home in September 2020 at the height of the pandemic as a Domestic Assistant. It was clear very early on for all to see that Lynsey would make an excellent Care Assistant, Lynsey’s compassion, willingness to help and understanding of our resident’s needs were outstanding, and she was persuaded to transfer her skills to becoming a Care Assistant in June 2021. From there Lynsey quickly and competently completed her SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
Her development in her caring role went from strength to strength and it was decided in September this year 2022 that she should be promoted to Senior Care Assistant.
Margaret has worked in Beechgrove since November 2012, she started as a Domestic Assistant and moved to Housekeeper in 2021. Her role consists of leading the housekeeping team, ordering supplies, and ensuring cleaning standards are kept high.
Jhon is originally from Columbia and then Spain came to Beechgrove in 2016, he is a great asset to our home and can turn his hand to anything. He is responsible for most of the maintenance within the home.
Debbie studied at college from the age of 18 to qualify as a Soup Cook, progressing to cooking 18 months later. Debbie began employment as a Carer then married and gave up work when she had her family. She returned 10 years later to employment at Homecare then moved to care at Beechgrove Care Home before moving over to the kitchen to take the post of Cook, she has been a constant here now for the past 15 years. Debbie strives to ensure our residents enjoy their food and maintain a well-balanced healthy diet.
Louise has many years of experience in a laundry environment. Louise has an outgoing personality and is keen to help out with anything at all.
Patrick is bubbly and always up for making everyone smile with his good sense of humour. Patrick has previously worked with the general public and has great respect for everyone.
Rebecca has caring experience and is always keen to ensure all resident's needs are met.
She is keen to get all our residents as an individual to ensure she knows their likes and dislikes.
Carys has no careering experience but is a very keen young lady who is looking to improve her knowledge and skills in the care sector as this is something she has always wanted to do.
