I never wanted my dad to go into a home as I felt I was letting him down, and I wanted to be able to look after him, but he was very isolated and alone after my mum passed away. Health reasons forced us to look for alternative help to keep my dad safe but also to have a life after losing Mum - then
we found these wonderful people who are team Les Houmets. They treat my dad so well and give him more independence than I ever could, but not only do they look after Dad, but everyone is there for us as a family - no words could ever express the love and gratitude that we all feel for everyone at Les Houmets.

I feel at home and in my own home. I am treated with kindness and respect. The chefs go out of their way to cater for all our tastes. The cleaners are wonderful and work so hard. Our washing gets done to perfection. The managers and carers are outstanding. I love my garden room. The way my family and
guests are welcomed is humbling. Thank you.

My mother and I chose for her to receive essential 24-hour respite in November 2017 following an emergency medical admission into hospital during mid-October. Following the two week respite period my mother had so well cared for that she made the decision to ask the manager if she could move in permanently.
Happily, the manager was able to oblige and my mother was able to remain in the beautiful garden room where she had received respite. All the management team, carers, chefs and domestic staff are fantastic too thank you.
