Aspray has compassionate and skilled staff. We moved from a care home with poorer standards a month ago and couldn't be happier! The home is well led by a proficient manager, staff are professional and dutiful and needs are supported in person centred ways. It's clear in interactions that residents are valued and appreciated as individuals by the nurses and HCA's. There's a good activity team who do room visits for those who aren't mobile each day: often with ice-cream! Food provision is great and caters well for vegetarians - chef also checks if residents are happy regularly. The Handyman fixes equipment promptly and also takes time to chat to residents ensuring all is well in the room and they have all they need. Although care provision isn't perfect due to being new, if I've asked for anything it's addressed with no attitude or excuse and I feel relatives' input is welcomed and valued. Any past issues seem resolved and I believe it will continue to improve even more in the future.

Nice atmosphere.
Fantastic activity team.
My son has been at Aspray House for a full year now. In spite of occasional ups and downs, overall I have noticed improvement in the management of the home. Turnover of staff at one point was an issue has improved and there is continuity both in management and carers.
I have found that the staff at Asprey House are very kind, helpful and supportive to my husband.
Having been here for quite some time, I have noticed significant improvements recently. This care home has gone above and beyond in providing additional support when needed. The food has improved alongside presentation.
My husband was here for one month, and I was happy that I got to talk to him once per week via call at Asprey House. Each time I spoke to him, he always said that he was comfortable and happy. If I should go on holiday again, I would definitely choose Aspray House, and I will encourage other people to leave their loved ones here. Melvyn was well treated! Thanks, Asprey House.
Security and safe guarding systems are excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. All in all, a very good home.
Thank you so much for your feedback. We're delighted to hear that your mother felt comfortable and well cared for during her stay. Your kind words about our staff, security, and facilities mean a lot to us. We truly appreciate your support.
Everything is fine
We are pleased with the care Mum has received at Aspray House. The home itself is always clean, comfortable and well-maintained. Mum's room is bright, spacious and well-equipped. Staff at Aspray House are compassionate, patient and experienced in caring for people living with dementia. We were kept informed about mum's progress during her two-week stay at Aspray House. We would not hesitate to recommend this home to anyone seeking quality dementia care.

Thank you for my Father's Day lunch and gift. A special shout-out to management who, with their energy and humour, made the day for my wife and myself and everybody else.
There always seems to be a celebration happening at Aspray House. Maximum effort is put into every special day, with flags and treats to entertain the residents. A good measure of a care home, I have found, is the empathy and enthusiasm of the staff.
Aspray passes with 'flying-colours'
Good effort all round.
Thank you for your kind words! We're thrilled you enjoyed the Father's Day lunch and gift.We appreciate your comments about our staff's empathy and enthusiasm. Your support means a lot to us.
Very poorly staffed and management that is unseen and not able to contact. Poor safeguarding and handling skills. Inexperienced and overwhelmed staff who are working without support or guidance. I didn't feel that my family member was safe or cared for. Not enough staff to feed those that need help
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are concerned to hear about your experience and take these matters very seriously. We have tried to contact you several times to understand the situation in more detail, but unfortunately, we were unable to reach you. Could you please provide us with...
The nurse and carers who care for my friend on 1st floor are really compassionate. The activity team are always entertaining which is so lovely to see. I would highly recommend this place for your loved ones.
Thank you all so much - your efforts will not be forgotten.
Kind regards.
My wife was discharged from hospital with very complex needs associated with her advanced-stage, early-onset dementia. When it became apparent that my wife required 1:1 24x7 care and supervision, the care home responded very quickly and effectively, despite the staffing challenges faced by all care homes. The care home manager, nurses and carers have done an excellent job in responding to my wife's needs.
The bedrooms were very spacious and he was made very welcome and given all the home comforts during his stay.
Thank you kindly to all staff, especially the manager.
Our mother spent 22 months in the care of Aspray house in Lea Bridge Road. She was very happy there having many a laugh and a joke with the carers and other staff at the home, exchanging waves and smiles when they regularly checked in on her and attended to her needs. She often commented on what nice people they were. The staff always appeared cheerful and helpful even when our mother was a bit down and miserable they tried to cheer her up.
The room itself was bright and always clean and airy with enough space for at least 4 visitors at a time, it also had an en-suite toilet which was useful even though our mother was bedridden and didn't have the confidence to use it even with help. Although confused at times our mum was mostly very happy living in Aspray House where we could visit her almost whenever we wished.
