The staff, carers managment cant do enough so friendly, so polite and so profesional, my dad has never been so happy, I've seen a lot of carers in different places, and home carers, and all have failed, Dial House and all staff are second to none
The staff have been fantastic, exceptionally friendly and helpful, arranging a full timetable of activities in spacious premises with a beautiful, accessible garden.
The food is excellent. My husband always says that he enjoys all the meals. There is plenty of variety. My husband is allergic to fruit including tomatoes, which is, obviously, very difficult but the staff at Dial House have bent over backwards to cater for him. They have bought in special meals especially desserts.
My husband has needed a number of medical appointments at hospitals that are not necessarily local. As the local authorities couldn't always offer transport the nurse helped train us to get my husband in and out of the car safely.
The nurse also wrote to the hospital requesting urgent appointments as she knew his particular severe needs. She was wonderful and helpful and did get earlier appointments as a result of her interventions.
The manager was also exceptionally helpful.

Dial House for respite care from a 7 week hospital stay following an awful fall with horrendous injuries at home
My visit was unfortunately after 5pm due to traffic and travel. The member of staff answering the door was friendly but challenged my identity, this reassured me mum was safe, it became clear that I was expected and welcomed in. My immediate impression was a clean tidy friendly home. Mum looked so relaxed in her room and even boosted about winning at bingo. Her evening meal was brought to her room which she relished. I took a moment to read through the information brochure in her room, so useful. I haven't told anyone that I used to work in care as a care manager, I was very impressed and knew what to look for. I met 5 different members of staff all cheerful and treated mum with dignity and respect.
Thank you James for your wonderful feedback, and as a former care manager this is high praise.
My friend was with Dial House for around six weeks respite care. During this time I visited as a friend and took him to a couple of hospital appointments. The lovely staff could not have been more understanding and helpful. It was reassuring to see that he was treated with dignity and respect, and the nursing care ensured that he recovered well.

Meet the Team (2)

Our Residential Nursing Home Manager, Anne Bustin, has a wealth of knowledge and experience running and managing care homes.
She is assisted by a team of registered nurses who are responsible for the clinical care of our residents. All of our deputies have extensive experience in the NHS and extremely high standards of care, and have specialist roles within the home.

I qualified as an adult nurse in September 2015. I have a background in haematology nursing and did this for 4 years. As a haematology nurse, I cared for patients from diagnosis through treatment and palliative care when needed. I then moved to Portugal and worked in a private hospital for 2 years; this was an acute medical unit. I worked here during COVID19.
In 2021, I returned to England, and after getting my NMC PIN back, I started working at Dial House in March 2022.In 2023, I was promoted to Head of Care at Dial House.
In 2024, I was promoted to Deputy Manager.
