My carers have to move me around out of necessity but my aching leg joints cause more pain than anything they do.

My husband came to Acacia House Nursing Home on the 17th of January. He was very poorly.
I cannot speak highly enough of the excellent care he is receiving. He has settled so well.
The kind and caring staff keep us fully informed of all that is happening.

It is a relaxing pleasure to visit.

All the staff that looked after my mother treated her with respect and were always very friendly when we visited. We were always welcomed and there was always someone there to ask if we had any questions.

My mum settled into Acacia House really well. The staff are kind, caring and attentive, they spend time with Mum chatting, painting her nails and making her feel special. I am reassured that Mum is in very good hands and is receiving high-quality care. The home itself is welcoming, clean and bright with a homely atmosphere.

Mum had two stays here with several weeks spent in local hospital following a fall.
The care at Acacia is wonderful. Everyone of the staff is always smiling in what at times is a challenging role. They show the utmost compassion for everyone and always made us welcome whenever we visited which was often.
Kept us updated at all times and when sadly Mum passed away you could see from the staff expressions that her passing affected them all deeply.

Thank you to everyone involved.

Absolutely satisfied with all aspects of my husband's care. I'm kept well informed of any issues that arise in his care. Everyone I have met in Acacia House has a welcoming, cheery personality. I can't fault the cleanliness of the home in any way either. All in all a lovely place to be for care in later life. Thanks to you all.

My husband has received excellent care since entering Acacia House, which I cannot fault. I have also been treated with friendliness and understanding for which I have been most grateful. He hasn't been there very long yet (just a couple of months) so I haven't met all of the staff yet, but the few I have met have all been welcoming and anyone who has phoned me is very courteous and understanding.

Our loved one has been staying at Acacia House Nursing Home for over a year now.
They have received a very good standard of care, with our initial concerns listened too and acted upon.
We cannot praise all the staff enough for their hard work, care and support, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The activities ladies have been so helpful, enabling our loved one to use video calling to chat face to face.

We are happy to recommend Acacia Nursing Home to all those seeking excellent care for their loved one.

When my Mother in Law initially went to Acacia, she was adamant she was not staying. After three weeks of excellent care and being looked after so well she realised that she couldn't manage at home on her own. We have not looked back and can't thank the home enough for their care and dedication.

Such a lovely friendly care home, our relative was so well looked after there, he was only there for a month awaiting a veteran care home as he is only 61. But he had a lovely room and was well cared for, I would be so happy to send an elderly relative to live there.

From the moment my wife moved into Acacia House, I knew that she was in a good home with care that I could not hope to match. There is a constant aura of love, care and humour with genuine concern for the residents, which shows on the faces of both parties. I visit each day for as long as possible and feel totally at home because I am always greeted with warmth and humour with a brief report of my wife's condition. My reason for distinguishing between people and material things in my assessment is because I believe that personal relationships are the most important factor in our lives and that's abundantly clear in Acacia House. I am truly grateful for the nursing and care given to my wife here in Acacia House. She loves you all. Thank you.

My partner of 40 years has been comfortable and happy at Acacia House. We have found the permanent staff polite, kind and a joy to work with. The attention to detail is much appreciated bearing in mind my partner's disability.

One of the minor hiccups has been experienced but peaks and troughs in the workload of this type of establishment must be expected.

Stefan Job Title:Deputy ManagerJoined: 2015

I have worked in the healthcare industry, which spans both the UK and Romania. When I first moved to the UK, I joined Acacia House as a senior carer while I was waiting for my NMC pin. Since then, I've had the opportunity to work my way up in the organisation. I was fortunate to work under an incredible deputy manager who generously shared her wealth of knowledge and experience with me. After her retirement, I stepped into the role of deputy manager in 2018, and it has been a rewarding experience.
