Kentwood House is a small, family-run care home that has been owned and operated by the same family since 1995. A dedication to maintaining a family feel sets Kentwood House apart from other care homes. The building was originally a vicarage and has been converted into a comfortable home for 28 residents. It is set in 2 acres of landscaped gardens in the beautiful Kent countryside.

Kentwood House Nursing Home prides itself on delivering person-centred, high quality care for Nursing and Dementia residents, the aim is to provide the best nursing care and every member of the team strives to deliver the highest level of patient-focused care. I am very pleased with the care that look after my uncle. He's very happy there and I chat to all the residents that congregate in the lounge watch television I help with feeding my uncle, he always remembers me. I try and make him laugh, and the carers are always there for me, make me tea if needed.
Overall I'm really very satisfied with the care.

While visiting my mums friend at Kentwood nursing home, I am truly grateful for the care she receives. The staff are compassionate, attentive, and always ready to help. It gives my mum peace of mind knowing that my friend is not only safe but also treted with dignity and kindness,
The environment
is clean, welcoming, and feels more like a community. I've noticed how staff take the time to build genuine relationships by doing activities indoors and having summer parties, which makes all the difference.

On every visit I have found my friend to be well cared for, she has clean clothes, her hair is always done nicely and she always appears to have an excellent relationship with staff who always appear attentive towards her. We as visitors are always welcomed with updates and a nice cup of tea. Nothing
appears to be too much trouble for them in their care for residents.
I cannot comment on the boxes I haven't ticked as I have no knowledge of these.

The staff at the home are very welcoming, friendly, and caring. We are immediately offered a cup of tea to have with our friend. We can tell our friend is well looked after and is fond of the carers. It is very clean.
We cannot mark the second half of the questions as we have no knowledge of those.
We have not been there at mealtimes and have only seen her in the lounge and her room.

My father has now resided at Kentwood House for over 3 years, since arriving the support and care he has received have been outstanding. This is evident by the consistent well-being and contentment of my father. As family members, we are always welcomed into the home and kept up to date regarding any
changes to his care and support needs. He is the happiest I have seen him for years. Well done to all the staff at Kentwood, and thank you for your continued love, care, and support with Dad.

Mum is very happy in the home and is very well looked after. The staff are brilliant and always happy to chat to us when we visit. We feel safe in the knowledge that her needs are being met and we always get a phone call if there is a concern.

When my brother moved from a Care Home in the Bournemouth area to Kentwood Nursing Home in order to be closer to us we were naturally concerned as to how he would settle in but we need not have worried. Within a few days the care and compassion he was shown by all the staff made his move very easy.
I was struck by the way they treated him as one of their family and I always came away from a visit feeling that we had done the right thing by settling on Kentwood. So to the management and staff I would like to thank you all for the way that you cared and looked after my Brother and helped him through his Dementia.

Since our friend has been in Kentwood Nursing Home he has had excellent care, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The food is very varied and nicely presented. The staff are very friendly and hard-working and always welcome you with a smile. As our friend is bed-bound, the staff are always checking
his needs and interacting with him. Nursing care is a 100% and very proactive. Have no regrets of putting our friend in this home.

My mother transferred to Kentwood House in the summer of 2023 when her previous care home closed. We were impressed by the very personal service she received from this family-run nursing home. She had dementia at the time of her move and was no longer mobile, but the staff at Kentwood House looked
after her to the end and involved her in activities. We were able to visit whenever we wished. Staff kept us informed of how our mother was so we knew what to expect when we visited.
The lounge and entrance hall have recently been decorated to a high standard.

Mum was cared for by the staff at Kentwood with care and kindness over the last few months.
All the staff were very welcoming towards Mum and us too. It was made very easy for us to visit, Covid regulations permitting.
