In general, I find Bendigo Nursing home to be pleasant and well attended. There are always staff around and the nursing, in particular, is excellent. My only continuing concern is with the food, especially the lack of regular green vegetables. Perhaps it is too costly or maybe the very elderly shouldn't
eat vegetables. Also, there doesn't seem to be any great thought given to an individual's requirements, how many 90-year-old's like pizza or pasta; or uncooked fish. After some years visiting this establishment, the food I see provided is still the main issue for me.

Our Father became a resident at Bendigo in October 2017. For my sister and I, we thought choosing a nursing home for our Dad would be the hardest thing we'd ever have to do, but walking into Bendigo, we both knew we had found the perfect home for him.
We are content in the knowledge that our Dad could
not be better cared for than he is by all the staff. The atmosphere is so friendly, it's a joy to visit. As a family, we are made to feel so welcome, as are other friends and family, especially our mum (and our dog!). We see this as Dad's home now, not a place we have had to 'put him in to'.
We're so lucky to have found Bendigo, we couldn't praise the staff highly enough - as for the food - amazing! We tell Dad he's in a 5 star hotel because that's what it feels like, but with wonderful staff there to look after him for us around the clock. Thank you, everyone, at Bendigo - we couldn't ask for better for our Dad!
