The home is equipped with Parker baths, conventional baths. Staff were always polite, cheerful and professional. All were kind, friendly and helpful, without exception. All were proactive in offering care and support to both patients and visitors, even out of hours. Staff made us aware of what they could and couldn't do for a patient up front, but would always do more rather than less. They always welcomed visitors but would also make us know the patient's wishes came first. The facilities were clean and comfortable, well decorated and maintained. Staff seemed happy to be there and interacted well with each other in a spirit of co-operation. Good atmosphere always.

My only continuing concern is with the food, especially the lack of regular green vegetables. Perhaps it is too costly or maybe the very elderly shouldn't eat vegetables. Also, there doesn't seem to be any great thought given to an individual's requirements, how many 90-year-old's like pizza or pasta; or uncooked fish. After some years visiting this establishment, the food I see provided is still the main issue for me.

We're so lucky to have found Bendigo, we couldn't praise the staff highly enough - as for the food - amazing! We tell Dad he's in a 5 star hotel because that's what it feels like, but with wonderful staff there to look after him for us around the clock.
