Derek brings over 36 years of experience as a professional chef, with the past sixteen dedicated to creating delicious, nutritious meals in care homes. He is passionate about using fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible-a commitment that shines through in everything he prepares, from hearty main courses to his much-loved homemade cakes and biscuits, which are always a hit with residents, staff, and visitors alike.

Derek caters for all diets and dietary needs, including diabetic and gluten-free options, ensuring everyone can enjoy his cooking. He also prepares ingredients for residents’ baking activities, encouraging creativity and connection through food.
