Mum received outstanding care + nothing was too much trouble.
The home was spotlessly clean + the staff were so friendly + caring
Thank you for your positive feedback and taking the time to leave these kind words. We are delighted that your experience was positive. We strive to provide compassionate, respectful, high quality care and it is always wonderful to know that our team has made a difference. I will share this with the staff. Thank you.
A truly wonderful place! As soon as I walked through the front door there were no nasty smells and everywhere was spotlessly clean. All the staff were courteous and polite and a special mention for the manager who allways had time for me and answered all my questions. Very comforting to me at my lowest point.
In the ealrier days we were able to push the chair to share meals out in local restaurants - local wheelchair taxis provided us with the opportunity to take him further afield.
Thank you so much for taking the time from your busy life to provide us feedback. We appreciate your wonderful commernts, it truly inspires our team to continue to do their best to support our lovely residents.
A good experience on the whole very well looked after nursing staff excellent management failing in some details.
Thank you for your thoughtful review. We are proud of our staff but we are sorry to hear that we have missed some details. We aim for excellence in all areas and would appreciate it if you could reach out to me directly and share the specific details so we can ensure they are corrected immediately. Best regards, Heather Haggerty, Manager
My Mum has been a resident at The Beeches Nursing Home for approximately 8 years, which is testament itself to the fact that she is happy there and receives excellent care and support from the wonderful staff team. The home is very welcoming and friendly and puts on great entertainment and activities for the residents. My mum particularly enjoys the entertainers who regularly come into the home - singers, dancers and musicians! The carers are patient and kind and they understand my mum's needs. The meals and cakes are cooked on site and are really delicious! I have recommended The Beeches to others and will continue to do so.
Mum is cared for in the most amazing way. She always appears happy and the way she is treated by everyone is beautiful to see.
Everyone of Mums visitors have come back to say how lovely The Beeches and the staff are.
It is clean and welcoming. For for me, it is where I feel happy leaving Mum at the end of every visit knowing I could not leave her in a better place.
All of staff are kind beyond belief. It makes me feel safe knowing Mum is here.
Generally v. good. Sometimes better than others. From what I have heard of other 'homes', The Beeches compares very favouritively.
Mum has been in The Beeches for nearly 5 years now and has generally been very happy there. The nurses and carers all work very hard to take care of her and everyone else. Staff engage in social conversation which encourages mental stimulation. Mum enjoys taking part in many of the social activities and sometimes likes to help out.
Since my mothers admittance we have found the staff to be incredibly helpful and supportive as well as very friendly.
You're all awesome.
The level of care has impressed all our family, knowing our mum is in the best of hands. Xx
Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback, encouragement and appreciation for the Beeches team.
My sister-in-law has had the most wonderful support and care at this place - The Beeches. The staff are very aware of her needs and adjust their behaviour, attitude and work accordingly - right down to the fact she no longer talks - but they have made signals and winks to exchange. It makes my sister-in-law very happy. She is now coming to end-of-life but there is still much input. Thank you.
The Beeches Care Home is a wonderful place. A home from home. My aunt is extremely happy here and the surroundings match her previous home. The care staff have built wonderful bonds with my aunt. I see this whenever I visit. I am known to each member of staff and they recognise straight away who my relative is. A testament to getting to know their residents and the residents' relations. Can't recommend the care home highly enough.
Zena, thank you so much for your excellent feedback. The Beeches is truly home away for home and making sure our residents are happy and enjoy their sunset years in warm and kind enviroment.
The Beeches is an absolute golden find. The location, building and rooms are all wonderful and homely, but what really makes the difference is the staff - all long-standing (no agency) and the friendliest, most caring people you could meet. I really cannot think of anything bad and we are so very grateful to The Beeches for making our aunt so happy and cared for. Christmas party was superb too!
Richard, Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. Our team strives to provide the best care possible and ensure all our residents feel at home and engage in all the activities on offer daily.
Mum was very well cared for at The Beeches. All the team from nurses to care staff, tea lady and kitchen staff were so caring and kind to Mum and myself. Our family are all so pleased she passed away with so much care and kindness all around her. A very well managed home.
Without exception the staff are caring, attentive and friendly. The food is exceptional and well-presented offering choices at each meal (including wine), which my mother enjoys. The trained nurses are quick to respond to medical issues and always keep me (as P.O.A) well informed. There is a varied selection of entertainment which my mother enjoys, but sadly is not well attended by many. Special events throughout the year are never missed and the home is regularly adorned with decorations to mark these events. All in all a very well run and happy home.
My mother's health improved significantly by being looked after by such caring and professional staff. Mother had stayed at The Beeches after a long-term illness and weight loss. After 3 weeks Mum was able to return home having put weight back on because of nutritious meals. Nothing was too much trouble. The chef prepared meals to suit her individual needs. I would highly recommend The Becches as the staff work well together and there is a nice family feel to the place.
The Beeches is an excellent nursing home and welcoming, bright, spotlessly clean, well decorated and furnished. I have been a resident for a couple of months and could not be in a better home. The staff are cheerful approachable and very caring. They treat with respect and as individuals whose wellbeing is paramount. There is regular contact with the local GP surgery and any sign of ill health is noted and acted on. Several social activities are organised during the week for residents who wish to attend. Meetings are held for residents to express views and make suggestions for improvement. The food is cooked on the premises all tasty and varied. Recommend the Beeches without hesitation.
I have no complaints about the service provided to my relative and she is very happy and comfortable at the Beeches. From my observations, she is treated respectfully and has a strong bond with regular members of staff. Sadly, she has severe short-term memory problems which means that she can’t remember if things we have requested on her behalf have been executed or otherwise therefore some type of informal feedback would be welcomed e.g. a planned trip out to a garden centre - did she go, did she enjoy it, did she behave etc. From our point of view, her day-to-day life at the care home is largely a mystery and it would be great if that gap could be filled somehow.
My dad enjoyed the regular entertainment that was available most days; the use of the garden room as a venue for dads family to join him for birthday celebrations was an added bonus as was the delicious birthday cake they baked for him.
Based on our experience I would be happy to recommend The Beeches to others.
Caring staff who made a difficult time much more bearable for me. My mother was very happy with every aspect of her care at The Beeches and made her own decision that she would spend her last days there following a career of 30+ years working in the care sector herself.
Thank you so much we appreciate your feedback.
