Since her father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Sue has also invested significant resources in understanding how to provide the best care for those who have a dementia diagnosis. Sue has subsequently gone on to host guest lecturers at local universities on the topics of dementia and assisted research in this area of specialism as well as others.
Emma started her career with Ashton Care at the age of 16 as a tea-time assistant. Amy is responsible for overseeing the quality of care that is delivered to those at Abbots Lawn.
She has a keen eye for the small details that make a big difference and works diligently to influence the same attentive care in others.
Her genuine passion for seeing every person as their own individual means she is a brilliant advocate for residents, she empowers them to live their lives to their fullest and in a way that complements how they see the world around them. For those with a diagnosis of dementia and Huntington's, among other conditions, this can be a calming and soothing approach which allows people to feel settled and welcome the support from care staff that they need. Amy hopes to further enhance her skill set by completing her Nursing Associate qualification with a specialism in mental health.
Natalie is an empathetic leader who strives for continuous improvement in the person-centred care offered at Abbots Lawn.
Her progression to management has been hard earned but after completing extensive training and specialisms in areas such as mental health, end-of-life palliative care and dignity Natalie has proven, by positively influencing change to care practices, that she has what it takes to succeed in her role.
Natalie is passionate about her personal development and recently qualified with a distinction as a Nursing Associate and is set to top up her qualification to gain full Registered Mental Health Nurse status in the future.
She has also obtained an NVQ Level 5 qualification, gaining personal commendation for her research, and is awaiting the results of her application for Registered Manager status.

She is responsible for working with the team to continually identify areas of improvement, to adapt to changes in environments and regulations and to support a positive change to move the home and the wider Ashton Care team forward.
Rebecca grew up around the business and as the daughter of Sue, owner and founder, she has inherited her mother's passion for enabling staff to fulfil their full potential. In turn, this creates a more cohesive and caring environment where service users get the best from the nursing home.
