My mum has been a resident of Cedar Park Nursing Home since April 2020. Before Christmas I was glad to take the opportunity, on my weekly visit to see my mum, to thank the staff, through the manager, for their dedication, care and encouragement of my mother. I am very happy with the way all the staff
have supported my mum through the difficult times of separation (Covid). My mum tells me how much she enjoys the activities and entertainment organised for each day and the tasty meals provided. I feel my mum has come out of her shell and is taking part in how her time is spent each day within the Cedar Park "family".

My dad had a very short time at Cedar Park Nursing Home,the care he received was the best, as a family, we could have asked for. Dad was treated with the care and dignity he deserved. The doors of the rooms being left open made for a homely feel and a feeling of being included. The staff that we met
were all polite and of smart appearance and could not do enough for you. The young manager is an asset to the home going above and beyond to make us, as a family, feel fully included in Dad's end-of-life care. It is such a shame that Dad wasn't able to take advantage of all the facilities and the wonderful view from his room due to having a terminal illness.

My brother was looked after extremely well. Even though it was a short time. The staff, from the manager to carers, were very respectful to all the family.

From the first contact, through to admission at Cedar Park, the process was friendly, quick and efficient. Management, staff and care given have been excellent, notwithstanding the constraints of the Georgian building. Thanks to the effort put in by the staff, my mother quickly adjusted to her new home
and her nursing needs quickly improved. She joins in the stimulating activities programme and as a family, we appreciated the home hosting my mother's 90th birthday celebrations recently.

I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Cedar Park Nursing Home. They are all a hard-working team and genuinely care about the residents and nothing is too much trouble. My brother-in-law has been a resident for eleven months and he is very happy with the care he receives.

My mum transferred from another care home. Her legs were covered in scabs and she was very unhappy. Since she arrived at Cedar Park Nursing Home her legs have greatly improved and although she hasn't completely settled she seems so much happier.

I have found the staff to be professional and caring with carers and nurses tending to be long stay and knowing their resident's preferences. The home is clean and staff are polite and welcoming to our family. They respect our family's concerns regarding the health aspects of my parents and share information
which makes us feel part of the very supportive team. We know that the doctor is a regular visitor and residency has taken away the years of worry of, should we call the doctor or not, and we know that if action is required, it is quick.


Activity organisers are enthusiastic and there is always an afternoon event every weekday. The conservatory is a perfect place for a cup of coffee with the residents looking over the well-tended gardens where we have sat, walked and enjoyed the fresh air.
For special occasions, the manager and team have supported our family having a party in Cedar Park something that has proved most important to the wellbeing of my parents.


My parents have stated many times that the homemade food is wonderful. They eat well and enjoy mealtimes.

The care given to my mother is first class. The place is spotlessly clean and the meals are tasty and cooked on site.
All the staff are approachable and my mum seems very happy here.

Mum is settled and contented at Cedar Park. Staff always ask her 'what she would like'.
Staff are always kind, caring and attentive. They are responsive to requests/queries and proactive in noticing and dealing with changes in Mum's condition.
The activities programme is varied and well organized
and is enjoyed by those residents who attend and relatives. Some of the furniture is a little tired. Matters reported are usually attended to promptly.
Suggestions; -
A facility for relatives to make their resident/themselves a tea or coffee.
A house pet, cat or dog or a few chickens in the garden.
Use the apples from the trees in the garden for pies or cakes for residents, or offer to visitors for a donation.

From the moment we arrived at Cedar Park Nursing Home, with my 96-year-old father, we were greeted by several staff who were very friendly, professional and treated him with respect. This continued throughout the whole of his time there and nothing was too much trouble, so we were reassured he was in
safe hands. His room was large, bright and spotlessly clean and the food excellent. During his last few days, as he deteriorated, the staff were wonderful and treated him with great dignity and care. On his last night, the wonderful sister on duty sat with him and called me at 7am, so the whole family were able to be with him when he passed away and every member of staff treated us with great compassion and support, which couldn't have been better anywhere.
