The Sidmouth Nursing Home is a very caring and kind environment to be in. My mother had a very difficult time in a previous nursing home and I was very nervous about moving her to Sidmouth Nursing Home. But my mother and I are so glad we made the move, she is now well looked after. Sidmouth Nursing
Home is an organised and very well-run home, and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. The staff are lovely, and the environment is clean. My mother has been there for over 2 months now and they all look after her and me. The manager is great and very supportive and I thank them all.

I am extremely pleased with the care that my mum is receiving, nothing is too much trouble with all the staff, my mum is always well presented, her clothing, her hair is always clean and tidy, whenever there is a health issue it is dealt with promptly, the staff are making her life more comfortable
with their very cheerful manner and patience, the musical activities etc are really good! All her needs are well provided for there! Thank you very much.

I cannot recommend this caring, friendly and personalised nursing home highly enough.
The atmosphere is one of happiness, food, motivation and great efficiency with the highest of nursing standards.
From the manager down, all staff are professional, approachable and knowledgeable about all the residents.
There
is nothing they wouldn't do or provide for those in their care.
The high standard of facilities, food, hygiene and cleanliness is very evident at every turn.
The place is essentially like being within a family unit, with each client recognised as an individual and cared for with great understanding and compassion. This is well reflected in the happiness and security in residents' demeanour.
No matter how difficult a situation occurs, it was always handled competently and with great empathy.
I cannot praise the whole team highly enough.
Thank you all.

I had heard excellent reports about The Sidmouth Nursing Home (SNH) and decided to call in one afternoon to check it out. Although my brother & I didn't have an appointment, we were invited in without hesitation and offered refreshments. We were struck by how genuine and kind the Team Leader was and
how well she understood our concerns about getting the right kind of palliative nursing for our very independent mother, who had always been opposed to the idea of 'going into care'. Our visit was followed up with a call from the manager, who instead of going through a preconceived 'tick list' of questions, appeared to be genuinely committed to discovering my mother's personality, her preferences and what was really important to her.

Mum was welcomed to her new home by the Matron who'd given up her own day off! All fears about 'losing her autonomy' were allayed with kindness and sensitivity. Compassion, respect and love were what my mother needed and they were delivered unstintingly by the staff, until the end.
