My father was extremely well looked after by all of the staff. He was treated with kindness and compassion and all of his needs were met.Our questions were answered promptly as the "care system" was totally new to us.

My husband spent three weeks in Ferndown (care) Nursing Home before he sadly passed away.

The care and attention he received from all the staff was excellent.

When visiting our friend, he always looks clean and well looked after. He always says he is happy there. All the staff interact with him and are very friendly and loving, he loves seeing them all and his eyes light up when they go into his room. We have no regrets in choosing this home for him.

I can't praise Ferndown Nursing Home enough. Initially, my mother was sent there from a hospital for end-of-life care. My mother also had severe dementia and was bedbound. The care they showed my mum was outstanding. Whenever we arrived and mostly unannounced, she was happy and clean and all the staff were so friendly. Not long afterwards my father took a downturn and was missing her so much. Because we live a long distance away, we moved him into Ferndown Nursing Home so he could visit her and also receive care himself. He was unsteady on his feet but safety was a priority and all measures were put in place to prevent falls etc. My father was extremely difficult to manage but they undertook his care with professionalism and were always smiling which we really appreciated, and eventually, he settled. They were so kind to my brother and myself. Sadly after my mother passed away he deteriorated further and passed away a month later. I could not fault the care they received. Thank you

I am extremely happy with the care provided to my wife. She is well looked after by all the staff who are very professional and attend to her every need. Nothing is too much trouble. My wife requires 24 hr care but is transferred to a chair when I visit. She is happy and relaxed in herself.

Mum was well cared for. The staff got to know her quirks and met her needs as much as possible. They used humour and consistently treated her with respect, listening to her choices. They were welcoming to us and always made time to answer our questions.

Ferndown Nursing Home, looked after my mum for many weeks after she was diagnosed with cancer. She passed away there. The staff were exceptional and truly warm and caring. Neither me nor my sister lived in the area and they always accommodated us when we came to visit. I know my mum felt very safe and cared for there, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

The staff were always kind and considerate. Mum's last months were so nice because she was well looked after and treated with respect. Her room was cosy and sunny and felt like home. We were always welcomed and made to feel like family when visiting. A wonderful place.

I have become very familiar with Ferndown Nursing and Care Home since 2016 and overall I could not be happier. The staff looked after my mother then both parents now just my father with great care, empathy and love. The staff are doing a job I simply cannot do, caring for the most precious person in my life which they do with a smile, despite aspects of the work being very hard, They are truly saintly and I am highly grateful! I recommend Ferndown Nursing Home without reservation.

My mum moved into the home in January this year after an initial visit from my father and wife. They were both impressed with all they saw and thought the home had a nice feel about it. The home had also been recommended to us by a family friend. We have not been disappointed, every member of staff are so kind and caring. Both myself and my family know my mum is being cared for by an excellent team.

My mum moved into the care home in September 2023. The staff and management are excellent, providing loving care to her on good days and not-so-good days. As we do not live locally, it is very reassuring that Mum is in such good hands, we can not thank them enough!

My mother in law has been resident since early 2017. She has been extremely well cared for during this time, despite at times being very difficult due to her dementia. The staff are always kind, cheerful and display excellent nursing skills.

Ferndown Nursing and Care Home is "Homely" accommodation and whilst we can always find fault with the service we are extremely pleased with the care provided and in the main, the staff are excellent and very caring. Mum is very happy, which is so important to us having lived on her own for a number of years. The company and constant attention is very beneficial from her perspective and provides us with confidence she is being well looked after.

It is always a very difficult decision to make to move close family into a home when there are so many choices in the area. However, we know we have made the correct choice and would have no issues in recommending the home.
