I joined Aldbourne Nursing Home in 2018 as an Office Administrator and became the Registered Manager in 2022.
My role involves overseeing the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, supporting staff development, and promoting the well-being of residents and staff members. I’m passionate about creating an environment where people feel respected, valued, and empowered to live as independently as possible.
Our team have a strong commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, and person-centred support, and I work closely with residents, families, professionals, and the wider community to ensure our home maintains the highest standards of care, dignity, and professionalism.
As a Registered Nurse with more than 40 years’ experience, I have had the pleasure of holding the position of Clinical Manager for 11+ years, during which time I have helped in the strategic planning and implementation of new systems, which have led to a stable and well-led service.
My role is to ensure that the people who live with us receive a high standard of care in a friendly, caring environment through the recruitment and retention of nurses and care staff who genuinely care, training in evidence-based practice, auditing and liaising with the other departments within the home and external professionals.
Since becoming involved with the nursing home in 2010, I have remained deeply committed to ensuring we provide the highest possible standard of care for our residents. Having previously served as Registered Manager, I continue to play an active role in supporting both our residents and staff, helping to maintain a warm, safe, and compassionate environment where dignity and respect are always at the heart of what we do.
I am incredibly proud of the dedicated, kind, and long-standing team we have built — a team that is always ready to support residents and their families with professionalism and genuine care. It is extremely rewarding to see excellent care delivered every day, and we achieve this through careful recruitment, comprehensive training, and ongoing support for all members of our team.
Together, we are committed to creating a caring home where every resident and staff member feels valued, respected, and fully supported.
