Our Mum was transferred here from Myton Hospice for end of life care. We chose Belvedere party from reading other reviews and from visiting the nursing home, and we are so happy that we did.
All of the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, and they went out of their way to make sure Mum was
treated with dignity and respect. The nurses ensured that Mum was not in any pain no matter what time of day or night.
The nursing home owners are there almost every day which underpins that this isn't just a business, they really do care.
I cannot rate them highly enough!

All staff are outstanding! The staff can't do enough for you. My friend had lung cancer stage 4 and at the end of life. The nursing home is very clean. He kept his dignity through out. We were all kept informed of his wellbeing at all times. And I'm pleased to say because of this, we were all able to
be there at end of life. I would strongly recommend this nursing home. Love and care was shown at all times, by all staff. Thanks so much!

Exceptional nursing home that looked after my mum for the last 2 1/2 years of her life. Personal and knowledgeable care that gave the family the confidence to know she was in exactly the right place.
They helped with applying for funding when necessary drawing on detailed and comprehensive records.
The staff showed nothing but kindness and love.
Cannot recommend Belvedere Park highly enough.

My nan attended Belvedere Park Nursing Home from March until June after an unexpected visit to hospital in which we were told she would need palliative care. The staff went above and beyond to make her feel welcome and comfortable, accommodating all our requests where possible. They were attentive,
caring, compassionate and kind, not only to my nan, but also to her family at what was a very difficult time. I will be forever grateful for all they did during those last few precious months. Thank you.

My mother lived with my husband and I. Following a long stay in hospital it was apparent that she required nursing care and that living with us was no longer an option. We researched many Nursing Homes looking for one that could provide the level of care and attention that she had received with us.
As soon as we visited Belvedere Park we were impressed with the warm, friendly atmosphere and after looking around and talking to staff we knew this was the perfect place for my mother. She settled well and was extremely happy here. We were very impressed by the level of care she received from all the staff. She joined in many of the activities on offer, the hairdresser visited weekly and she also regularly saw the chiropodist. We could not have been more pleased with Belvedere Park and would recommend it without hesitation.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.084)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.084) out of 10 for Belvedere Park Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.909 for Belvedere Park Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (40 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 44 Ratings = 4.909

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.175 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Belvedere Park Nursing Home is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 25 registered maximum number of service users is 5. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 5 = 0.8

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
