We had viewed other Care Homes in the area but as soon as we were shown around by Natalie, we knew that St Mary's would be ideal. Mum settled in straight away following her discharge from hospital. Mum was thrilled with the activities, entertainment and the quality and variation of good food. In 2020, Covid, put a stoop to visiting as we knew it. Even so the staff worked even harder to provide the high standard of care for the residents. As soon as restrictions were eased two sheds were built over opening windows of the garden room so that were able to visit and have some kind of face to face conversation with Mum. In later years Mum's health has declined. Now in her 104th year she is not able to enjoy the activities but she still enjoys the food. We have always been kept fully informed about Mum's health and any particular needs that she may have. We are more than thankful to Natalie and her wonderful staff for Mum's continued care and we highly recomend St Mary's Home to anybody.

My mother is 89 and has been to St Mary's on three occasions for respite care, typically staying for around a week. The St Mary's Registered Manager, Natalie, has been excellent on all occasions, personally undertaking swift home assessments to ensure my mother could be admitted by the following day at the latest and liaising with the local GP practice to speed up 'blocks' in the system that were delaying my mother receiving the necessary medication. All staff have been excellent and I've always felt that my mother has been in safe hands. My thanks to Natalie and all staff members for their kindness and commitment.

Mum lived in St Mary's Nursing Home for 6 years, from 2019 until she died in June 2025. The carers were very kind and supportive of Mum. She was always able to have a nice laugh with them and even if she wasn't feeling good they were kind to her. I felt she was well looked after in St Mary's.

Mum arrived in a physically fragile state and there is no question that St Mary's brought her back to life - we owe the staff a real debt of gratitude. She became, once more, happy, lively and contented. She was very well cared for, which was important as she had multiple disabilities. St Mary's offered real community, with chatter and activities, which Mum had missed whilst still at home. From my perspective, it was great to be able to visit her any time. The carers were always so welcoming and helpful, offering tea and cakes, making suggestions and answering questions. St Mary's was well staffed and I felt that this made it a good place to work as well as to live. I whole-heartedly recommend the home.

Our Mum went into St. Mary's 10-months ago, during the lockdown. Because of all the restrictions and safety guidelines, we have not been able to visit Mum as much as we would have liked. However, the caring staff at St Mary's have done an absolutely amazing job of keeping the whole family up to date with Mum's care. The organisational work that the activities coordinators have achieved has been fantastic. They have organised Skype calls, video calls, outdoor and indoor visits (following all the safety guidelines), a truly monumental task. We, as a family, are extremely grateful. I have been involved in the Zoom meetings with the care team and the clinical commissioning group and been able to have an input in discussions about Mum's continuing care. We are very happy with the care, love and attention Mum has received from everyone at St Mary's. Mum seems very content and happy, and we couldn't ask for more. On behalf of all the family, we would like to say a big thank you.
