the car parking area.
On entering the home the reception has a digital signature procedure. Management and Administrative staff are available if you have a need to speak with them. It's a busy area at times but you're always met with a greeting and a smile.
Over the last year much work has been done on updating the décor. The reception area, dining rooms,
coorridors and entertainment rooms all have received a make over. Residents rooms are now being done along with up grading bathrooms.
The caring staff that I've met over the past couple of years work above and beyond and are extremely dedicated to the residents and treat the visitors with respect.
Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance all do a great job.
Large scale catering is a thankless job we all want it like we made it at home.
Thank you for leaving your comments, they are greatly appreciated by the team.
Staff are very supportive, to relatives as well as residents. The on site nursing staff are quick to respond to emerging health issues. On occasions necessary additional medication has been available the following day.
Thank you for your review, we welcome your feedback
The Farthings has proved to be instrumental in his recovery - from the first time we contacted them and over the last four weeks all the staff have been extremely kind and caring. Always pleasant with smiles on their faces.
My Dad returned to the man he deserves to be - shaved, washed and dressed each morning, actively encouraged to eat in the dining room (loving the food) and join in the social activities and it's been a real team effort to get him moving..
Thank you to all the staff - you do an amazing job
Thank you for yoru lovely words, it means a lot to all of us.
This is a fantastic Nursing Home combining first class management, great facilities and caring staff. As a family, we were always reluctant to use a Nursing Home but the condition of both my parents left us with no alternative. We came to Farthings on a recommendation and how lucky we were.
Thank you for taking the time out to leave us your feedback, it really does mean a lot to all of our staff.
I would recommend Farthings to everyone.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, it mans a lot to the team.
My partner is very happy to be at The Farthings All staff are so obliging and he always has a smile on his face. He's been at the home for 3 years and I have never had any complaints. He always looks clean and well looked after. I couldnt be any happier with the care he is receiving. I would highly recommend The Farthings to anyone.

The new owners of The Farthings Care and Nursing Home have made a tremendous difference, refurbishing, replacing and upgrading throughout the home and grounds-all for the comfort and well-being of their residents with whom they have consulted throughout the changes.
The home is light, airy and welcoming with well designed/decorated corridors, residents rooms, lounges with large cinema-type facilities and a cafe-culture vibe, dining rooms and upgraded bathing facilities.
Each and every member of staff are well-trained, polite, friendly and extremely caring. They all work tirelessly to support their residents and each other in times of great stress and sadness. Every resident is treated as a member of their own family and their kindness and dedication is admirable.
There is extremely good supervision and management throughout the home and should problems arise they are dealt with promptly.
Please have a look around, everyone will welcome you with a smile and a cup of tea.
Thank you so much for such a detailed and thoughtful review, it really does mean a lot to all of us.
My mom in law became a resident of the farthings family during Covid times a scary time for all. The farthings team got her back on her feet after her illness and have done so many times over the years. As well as looking after mom in law they have been supportive to us over the years, during the darker times and fun times. The farthings are the best, the team, food, entertainment, hairdressing etc makes it a fantastic place to live, it takes a great deal of worry off us knowing she is safe and looked after.
Thank you for your feedback, the team really values it and appreciates it.
When I visit the nursing home the staff always take time to say hello and make you feel welcome. Everywhere has bright lighting to give it a cheery feel and the rooms are cosy. The lounge is well used with something to do every day ( if you want to join in) and the residents all chat to each other and enjoy the entertainment . So a happy place which is very important for everyone X
Thank you for leaving you're review, it mans a lot to all of us.

Recently one of my family friends have moved into the Farthings Nursing Home. When talking to the staff the informed me it has recently been taken over by a new owner. On entering the home. It is bright, clean and welcoming. The staff very friendly and accommodating. I helped my friend with their lunch and it was served lovely and fresh. The rooms and home is currently under renovation and what I seen no corners are being cut! The home doesn't smell and appeared to be well staffed! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for taking the time out to leave your comments. It means a lot to us all.
From the moment my wife was admitted to The Farthings she was treated with respect, love, compassion and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble from all the staff, not only for my wife which was paramount, but also for my family. We were always welcomed with open arms with exceptional care love and understanding. The manager and her team truly go the extra mile in every respect, which made a difficult time so much easier. Exceptional people, first class facilities and, in my opinion, a leading example of how a nursing home should be managed.
The staff, deputy manager and manager were amazing, their care I could not fault no matter what was asked of them they rose to the challenge.
They not only care for dad but also his relatives who had gathered from all over the country, we stayed for a number of nights and they fed us and we were offered a never ending amount of fluids. Sadly my dad passed away, I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone looking for a care home, we can never thank them all enough. They all work so hard to ensure that all residents get the individualised care they deserve. You should all be very proud of what you have achieved. Once again thank you from the bottom of my heart.
